It's too slow, too frail, and has too few non-fire moves to be any good even with Flare Blitz.
But hey how bout that Smash Bros.
People talk about Rhythm Heaven characters, but Brawl had both Elite Beat Agents and Osu Tatakae Ouendan trophies, and I'd like to see them show up as possible Assist Trophies.
I talked about someone controlling little rhythm mini-games based on their series using the Wii U gamepad before and I still think that could be a thing.

Just a bit on the Fire Bar and how the Beam Sword's coloring is now graduated.
Has Link always dual-wielded when using an item?
Maybe it has been that long since I played.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Characters with weapons always dual-wield with items, and (Young/Toon) Link always puts away his shield as well.
I'm liking that they retained the katana/tanto edge for the Beam Sword, and I'm hoping the Fire Bar does the traditional rotations when its idling after spawning before anyone picks it up.
I sure said that!Rumour: Shulk, Palutena, Pac-Man, Mii, Chrom, and Chorus Kids are newcomers for Smash.

Nowhere did Sakurai in any way state Villager used Mii-based moves. He did say he uses various items he finds to fight and attack.
That's just a WMG and nothing more. There's really nothing to support it either. His Punching Glove attacks are actually similar to Punch Out, a game findable on the Animal Crossing GC NES Games. Plus, the Boxing items. His Balloon Fight Up B is pretty clearly... what I just said. Also on the AC GC NES games. His Bowling Ball is too easily attributable to his actual Boxing Items, including a Ball Return... which has Balls in it. There's nothing tying him to Mii's when all of it quite easily comes from his own game. Also, as Little Mac is playable, even after Villager is using a move based directly on his series, that debunks the whole idea that having a single move related to a character matters. Likewise, Mii's actually, you know, Bowl. They don't drop Bowling Balls on people. You can actually somewhat drop Balls on people by rolling them off a cliff in the actual games, making it far more similar to just AC instead.
It's an interesting theory, but has no real roots in reality.

This gives a bit more detail on it. I'll try to find the video as well that explains why Villager has the moves he has. Keep in mind only completely confirmed content is allowed on here, and we've very hardass about it. Guessing is not allowed, but noting a move exists only while saying what it might be(if implied) is fine. That's our best leniency. There's been a lot of work to remove lots of WMG's from the main pages too.
Actually, found it.
So yeah, Villager was just based upon his ability to pick up moves from anywhere due to how his series worked. I can understand the argument that the Mii does that type of thing too much and would be redundant, but the idea that Villager is using his actual moves is speculation, not fact. To quote from the video "Since the game is about collecting, he uses many things." So... unless you can cite him outright saying he has some basis upon Mii's, it's just speculation.

Shadow?I've said it before, and I'll say it again 'n' again 'n' again 'n' again: I'd be interested in a Mii as a deliberate Hitbox Dissonance character, swinging a Wii remote and nunchuck around like a sword/bat/bowling ball/whatever you want.

I'd love Mii using a Sports-inspired moveset. Much like I wanted for Waluigi before he was disconfirmed(apparently that's the correct word). They just have so much potential from tons of various games, referencing multiple ones besides the Wii "Name" series. They've certainly been in enough games to not even require a single Wii Sports reference too.
If Miis are going to be playable, they're going to have to make their movesets fully customizable, since playing Miis with a set moveset might be seen as unsatisfying.
Yeah, that's it. I don't see it being too difficult to do (make a standard Mii model and have the U or 3DS paste the head and colors onto it), unless they somehow decide to make height and size a factor.

I know, and its almost useless on it :3
