I do really hope Lucas is remade as something of a Barrier Warrior in for, though. Ness can keep doing what he's been doing, though maybe with some amalgamation from Lucas' Brawl moveset- PK Freeze and PK Flash getting swapped between the characters, a tilt-vs-tap distinction for the two PK Fires ala Samus, and a better handling PK Thunder? Plus, then you could justify making PK Rockin a Fire, Ice, Lightning deal!

I sure said that!Ness switching up his stuff would be nice, as Lucas barely has any offensive PSI in Mother 3. He has his healing spells, defese and offense boosters, and every sort of shield, but his only offensive moves are Love and Flash.
To contrast, Ness has those same moves (except he doesn't get certain Shields), but he's also got Hypnosis, Paralysis, and Brainshock.
Also, he gets Teleport. Though, if Lucas needed a non-Thunder recovery, there's always Snake Rope.
I have a message from another time...Again, though, Ness has had those moves in Smash since the very first entry. I can't see that changing.
As for Lucas, I'm picturing his moveset being something like PK Flash, PK Shield (as a rushdown tackle), PK Counter (as a long-range fixed-damage counter) and PK PSI Shield (generating as a ramp at his feet for recovery).
I sure said that!To be fair, Mario got his F.L.U.D.D. Making both unique by giving them some differences is fine. Also, honestly, it's really easy to beat Ness by simply taking his PK Thunder attack when it comes out, and letting him fall to his death. I like the idea of him having the Fire/Ice/Lightning theme too while Lucas has more defensive options for his B moves. In return, his A moves are much stronger. Possibly somewhat slower.

Haha. You think Lizardon is bad. Generation 1 Japanese Pokemon names tended to be... special.
Beedrill = Spear. Drowzee = Sleep. Articuno = Freezer. Phonetically Freeza.
I want Lucas to have PK Love Ω as a final smash just for the internet fall out alone.

Irene: I think it has more to do with Gratuitous English. In Japan, English words are seen as exotic and cool. So a lot of Pokemon names are just words in English. Which makes no sense in English, so we get puns.
It's like if an American children's game company created three elemental God-animals and named them Feuer, Eis, and Donner. Sound pretty awesome, right? I'm sure kids would think so. Except German kids, who know the names mean "Fire", "Ice", and "Thunder". Foreign languages can make anything cool.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"

Personally, I'm hoping for a July or late June release for the 3DS version. Seems kinda late for a summer release if it's August.
