Isaac already showed up in gameplay in Brawl. He's the main protagonist of the first game, and the hero of the first half of the story, still being notable in the third game.
He's pretty much the Marth of the canon itself.
I doubt he'd get in over Isaac. I think he'd be awesome as a replacement Assist Trophy, but there's also Felix or Sveta for that, since they look different and have other optional attacks besides being a carbon copy of Isaac.

I sure said that! The desire for Magnus has never made sense to me.
Here's a game with four magic-using characters who have a role in at least a third of the game. Three of them have the added bonus of being female, and wield staves, something we have yet to see in Smash.
Nah, let's put in the guy who appears for less than a half-hour and has the amazing ability to swing a sword.
Honestly, most impressive is his ability to wield a blade that is roughly three times his size.
And Snark with the best of them.
He is. He's a thief. In most Kirby games, he swipes Kirby's power and GTF Os. I'm Air Ride, City Trial had an event where he'd show up with a bunch of stolen power-ups. It looks like Smash Run has him show up to steal your power ups.
I have a message from another time...I know it's his own work, it's just that putting Tac in to serve more or less the same function feels like he's hardly trying (could've subbed Nabbit out for Tac and gotten much the same effect)

@Waffle: Well I figure, Matthew is the protagonist of the latest game, he looks exactly like his father does, plus he has all the same abilities, and he's got a cooler outfit.
