Doctor Who. Not a game, but easily the least-pleasable fanbase anywhere.
Now you've got my Bile Fascination interested. Link to the thread? (or PM if it's in an NSFW context)
(i mean, geez, if you want r34 for Samus, and i'm hardly one to judge in that sense, it's not hard to find. Why pick apart plain old screenshots? Unless the guy is deliberately self-parodying fan-service responses)
Or Zelda. Let's just call it a day and say that a lot of fandoms need to get their acts together.
@ Gavs and Ogodei: I've found it, but I'd rather not link to it. Just go to the Smash Bros. board on GameFAQs and type in Samus in the search bar at the bottom of the page. You'll know it when you see it. (And if that's not enough of a clue, the topic creator goes the screen name of NaughtyGhost. Subtle, right?)
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI think it'd be easier to list the number of fandoms that aren't unpleasable.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think we have a rule that discourages us from complaining about fandoms that are unpleasable.
Besides, every new character in SSB gets met with fanfare all around.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I always considered "unpleasable" fanbases to be just the Vocal Minority to be honest.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashThat may be true, but in certain cases (Final Fantasy, Zelda, Sonic), there's just too much close-minded quarreling to make me think otherwise.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI've had this wonderful image of something possibly awesome. Particularly this part
:
Especially the following comment:
An unpleasant fanbase? What are you talking about
? The Smash fanbase seems quite agreeable compared to most
.
(x4) Ah, well, never mind then.
So why are there two Ridleys, Meta and normal? I never got that, and I'm too lazy to look through the Metroid Wiki.

I remember a YouTube comment for Mac's trailer pointing out that Doc Brown's push-up count ended at 101, but who knows if that has any deeper meaning.
And to quote GameFAQs, Ridley sizes up the competition!
@ FOFD: Meta Ridley (exclusive to the Prime series) is just Ridley with cybernetic enhancements, though there is a legitimate second Ridley.
It's a plot point in Other M that this fluffy-looking alien you encounter early on in the game (nicknamed Choogle/Little Birdie by fans) is the larval stage of a clone of Ridley, which was engineered by the Galactic Federation using traces of Ridley's DNA on Samus' Power Suit.
If you look at Ridley's tail in the recent Nintendo Direct, it matches that of Other M!Ridley, who has a different design from Classic!Ridley.
There's also Omega Ridley (Meta Ridley infused with large quantities of Phazon in Metroid Prime 3), a robot made in Ridley's likeness that serves as the final boss of Zero Mission, and Neo-Ridley (the corpse of Clone-Ridley infected by a X-Parasite in Fusion), but that's largely inconsequential here.

Because people are dumb.
I don't think any of the newcomers look particularly overpowered, by the way. A lot of people are saying Rosalina's down-B seems potent, but I don't see what makes it so much better than any other reflector or counter or somesuch.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
