Palutena and, to a lesser extent, K.K.Rool.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI want K. Rool more, but I can see Dixie coming in easily due to her being planned for Brawl.
But yeah, Chrom and Palutena do look very likely. Ridley is completely untellable in reality. He may or may not be in at this point, as Sakurai just refuses to do nothing but tease us about his role in it. Never mind that we could get him playable and as a Stage Hazard similar to Toon Link. So it's pretty much just a wait at this point.
Shadow?I prefer Lucina, but yeah Chrom is pretty much a shoo-in. Maybe he'll even have a tag team mechanic and share with Lucina (or Robin for that matter).
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashI'd prefer Robin for Awakening, honestly. S/he's just as important to the game as Chrom, and I'd argue s/he's actually a measure more important, and would show off a different method of fighting, what with Tactcian being half a magic class.
And I'd also say that a Kid Icarus rep is definitely possible, and I'd say either Medusa or Palutena are the most likely for that.

I have a message from another time...Remember, preferences and likelihood are two different things. I'd much prefer Robin or Anna or Chrom, but Chrom is much more likely than them, no matter how much I wish otherwise. Still, there's enough uncertainty with the Awakening rep that he's below Palutena in likelihood.
I should also note that Sakurai has avoided calling Palutena by name in the Potd. Not sure if that means anything, but it's notable. Rids also has that issue oddly enough.
Yeah, Chrom is virtually guaranteed to be in it since Smash has traditionally included the first Lord (Marth) and the most recent (Roy then Ike).
I still want Palutena to be in it. Can't say why but I really do.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!As I see it, Palutena is merely possible, not likely. An Awakening rep is near-certain, but Lucina - as mentioned - takes certainty away from Chrom. Ridley, as I see it, is unlikely for various reasons, the most recent of which being what I identify as a double bluff in the recent Direct. Mewtwo is possible as well, but I wouldn't put any bets on it. K Rool seems unlikely to me, although I'd say Dixie has a decent chance - About as good as Chrom or Lucina idividually, although not as good as both. If that makes sense.
EDIT: And Anna just seems silly for a choice.

What's silly about Dr. Mario?
Just because Mario's normal iteration is a plumber, and the Dr. Mario is like at the opposite end of the career ladder...
But then how much actually plumbing does Mario ever do?
Unless kicking things out of pipes counts as plumbing.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayWhy assume Anna would be a worse fighter than Chrom? Also, if ZSS being in Brawl "hits half of a grandfather clause", if Anna actually was in SSB4 wouldn't the same be true of her after a while?

Y'know, I hardly think two games of FE reps are enough to determine an undeniable pattern to begin with, but at any rate I wouldn't be so confident about Chrom or Lucina being included for one reason - just look at all the new characters that have been revealed so far. Sakurai is clearly considering unique gameplay potential to be a huge factor in determining who he adds in this one. Chrom and Lucina are basically the farthest you can get from having unique gameplay potential outside of, like, Pichu.

Clearly they should add Pig Ganon as the sixth Zelda rep now.

...We're not talking about who's likely for SSB6 or anything like that, for the record.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYou could differ with Robin, or even Micaiah, a lot more, as magic has yet to be represented by any FE reps.
It's too bad the trophy quiz made me give up on the possibility of Tiki, for similar reasons. FE is so diverse in fighting styles, outside of its main characters.
I have similar reasons for nursing a vain hope of seeing someone from Mother who isn't one of the psychic schoolboys wielding lengths of wood. There's fist-fighing mages, a dog, a kid with rayguns, and a dude wielding wall staples.

I have a message from another time...

*thread hop*
In this thread, are there any characters which are generally agreed upon to be getting in the new games, aside from ones which have already been confirmed?
