Geno is every kind of awesome. He'll never be in Smash but I'd love it if he was.

Geno won't be playable in this game because, as a third-party character, he does not fit the whole "special case" thing that Sakurai talked about, for obvious reasons.

Why does everyone seem to forget that every original character in SMRPG belongs to Square-Enix? Geno only appeared in Superstar Saga because SQ gave Nintendo permission.

I was just answering why people wanted Geno in, not saying that he would. Besides, I think USA was the only place where he was at the top of the polls, the Japanese players apparently did not care (hence that "I'll blow up Japan" video that was circulating around you tube)

@Baffle Blend: I just think Ridley looks kinda neat, mostly.

Also back in my "speculating about Brawl" days, the Ridley supporters actually seemed like the underdogs and so I naturally sided with them.

I have to agree with... someone (sorry!), though. Now that you mention it, the shadow clearly looks like Ridley stays at a consistent height from the ground. Unless he has a Peach-style hover ability, that's distinctly un-playable-like.

Assuming his talons (legs) are free, I don't see how him flying makes a difference.

Even assuming he gets re-sized, he's still gonna be dang big.

Has anything happened, like any major announcements, in the last 20-30 pages? I saw and commented on the Direct, but this thread's still moving pretty quickly days afterwards.

Regarding Miiverse posts at least, there was nothing important on Wednesday (buuut we just got a huge-ass Direct full of Smash info, what more do you want?), Samus posing with Zero Suit on Thursday, and a brief explanation of Smash Run today.

I think one of Charizard's moves should be his Flaming Seismic Toss from the anime. Maybe for his Final Smash? It's kind of like his signature move, I think, so it'd be a good addition.

And I say minimize references from the anime. A couple moves and maybe a trophy/sticker or two, but that's it. Seismic Toss is in no way Zard's signature move. And it looks like Mega X is his FS.

Charizard could only learn Seismic Toss back in Gen I via TM, and it's a Fighting move anyway, which hardly screams "signature move".

The closest 'Zard has is Blast Burn and Fire Pledge, which it shares only with fellow Fire type starters. Flamethrower and Fire Blast are also on the list somewhat, but only for it being a highly visible Fire type.

I sure said that!

No, Flaming Seismic Toss, it's an anime-exclusive move.

And there's no reason not to draw from the anime. Plenty of the Pokémon's moves in Smash already don't come from the games. So Charizard's Flaming Seismic Toss would be a good choice to add. It's recognizable and popular with long-time fans, and mostly importantly it looks really cool.

Hrmmph. It was his up throw in Project M, and anime reference or not, it was awesome.

Meh. Normally I don't mind anime references (still think it's be badass for the original english anime theme song to be a music option), but I'm not feeling this one. Doesn't feel like it would add anything.

Well I guess you either think something's awesome or you don't, so there's not much point arguing against that.

But I think Rule of Cool is plenty good reason myself.

The Pokemon voices match the anime, but that's about all.
