I'm fine with 3DS getting released first. Remember, Wii U has other games releasing in 2014 besides Mario Kart and Sm4sh. This way the 3DS version (which was and is treated as a separate thing from Wii U's just with the same roster) won't cannibalize the potential sales the Wii U version can generate. I am concerned that the whole roster will get spoiled for those who want the Wii U version more (myself included).
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashSo,in regards to a Namco rep, I'd also like to suggest a Tales character.
It might inspire Namco to make a Tales Series game for Wii U.
I'd go with Yuri Lowell. He's got a more acrobatic and flashy style that still works quite well.

One Strip! One Strip!Eh, the Tales Series is decidedly more associated with Sony systems. All 14 (soon to be 15) main series games are playable on Sony consoles, while only 6 are playable on Nintendo consoles, and all but one of those are inferior versions, no less.
On the other hand, I believe the director of Tales of Vesperia is working on the new Smash Bros, so it's possible, maybe.
Welcome to th:|Have to admit, I'd be okay with the Namco X Capcom version of Taizo Hori.

I sure said that!
We Are With You Zack Snyder
I think the Namco representative might be a Soul Caliber character since GameXplain
pointed out that Final Destination looks like a combination of Soul Edge and Soul Caliber swords.
Andre says it in the analysis in the link I posted at 12:30 in the video.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYuri Lowell didn't even debut with Nintendo.
If you're gonna put in a Tales character then they should at least come from a game that is playable on Nintendo. Lloyd seems best.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThat said, the series began on the Super Famicom.
if one truly wants to go for technicalities, he has at least been on a Nintendo system by way of Project X Zone.

I have a message from another time...edited 11th Apr '14 12:07:47 PM by Pulse
I sure said that!No I do not want to get technical. I quote myself elsewhere, "DETAILS TECHNICALITIES AND SEMANTICS ARE THE TRIPLET DEMONS OF LANGUAGE [what characters get into Super Smash Bros 4]".
Hehe, but no, I still see Yuri as too Xboxy. Lloyd is Nintendo-born. Sort of.
That is if SSB really needed another swordsman...
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would staySo why do people think that Falcon and Ness might have gotten cut? That wouldn't make sense. Otherwise Sheik would have been in danger of being removed if lack of confirmation is only reason
Ice Climbers seem to be pretty much confirmed for being back because of polar bear enemies.. I mean, they didn't have exactly complex attack pattern and I don't see other reason to have them be back

I chalk it up to a combo of them not having recent games so they think Nintendo will cut them because of irrelevance, and just normal "is my character in Smash 4?" paranoia.

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashWell, with them getting rid of transformations anyways, this would have been a perfect opportunity to cut Sheik, if they considered not having been in any games in a long time, or only having been in one game for that matter, to be a good reason to cut someone. I think her inclusion should dispel any concerns about that. Then again, the people who are genuinely worried that Captain Falcon and Ness will be cut probably aren't thinking especially rationally to begin with.

Welcome to th:|@Sterok: I've seen some people assume that for some bizarre reason.
^Ya know, regardless of whether Sakura is trolling or not, I'd say that Ridley's move pattern still makes sense as "boss" since if Yellow Devil is example... Well, it stands around mostly, attacks at times and then stands around again. I know thats what Yellow Devil did in original game as well, but I'm just saying that since they are stage hazards, they might not be as active as normal bosses.
But yeah, the analyzing his shadow is interesting

I have concerns that the sooner release of the 3DS version will damage the expectations for the Wii U version's winter release.
