That's actually kind of a clever idea... And here I was thinking Galaga was an Assist Trophy and the Rally X flag would just let you leave smoke trails or something.
Pac-Man, maybe? (I don't just say that because I don't want him playable.)

pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSMario flings fireballs and has a cape. Donkey Kong is a hulking gorilla. Mac is a boxer. I'll give you that Link and Pit have a variety of tools otherwise.
Marth, Roy, and Ike on the other hand... are swordsman. No frills, nothing really interesting to write home about. So as a guy with very little Fire Emblem experience I don't really see the appeal of having more of that kind around.
And there's more than Cress-School Swordsplay in Tales. You also have Luke, who fights like Zelos, Asbel, who is all iaijutsu-style, and... well, she's not possible, but there's also Milla, who uses magic effects guided by her sword movements.
Even among them, Marth's fighting style is about speed and finesse, with poking slashes and such, whereas Ike is more power-focused, with heavy two-handed slashes and dashing attacks.
And then we have Link, who has close-range stabs and supplements it with tools, and Pit, who dual-wields and goes for extreme speed.

I have a message from another time...Plus Takamaru, Chrom, Shulk, and the like are some of the most requested characters for the fourth game, and what weapon do all three of them have in common?
(Granted, the Monado isn't "just" a sword. Doesn't excuse Takamaru or Chrom though.)

pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSI agree that Link and Pit can't be really be lumped into the "boring swordsman" complaint, but the Fire Emblems can - I know they use different styles of swordplay but at the end of the day I don't think they can really justify having more than two of them - speedy sword guy and glacial sword guy.
Fan requests be damned, anyway - Wii Fit Lady had exactly 0 requests but here we are.
@Hashil: And she actually looks like a worthwhile character too.
The village's ability to just pocket projectiles is insane though. Anyone who masters that will be a force to be reckoned with.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThere's a lot more than can be done than just "speedy sword guy" and "heavy sword guy". There's potential for stuff like "quick-draw sword guy" or "acrobatic sword guy" or "throw-your-sword guy" or "short enough to just be knives guy" or "sword that shoots energy waves guy" or "sword guy who uses almost as much magic as swords", and other stuff.
I have a message from another time...^^ Villager - ruining people's keepaway games since 2014!
Anyway, here's a question that's a little different: We all know what songs we want for the game, but sometimes, the home game doesn't/isn't suitable to have a stage made for it, or you simply like the music and don't care for if anything else shows up. So, what song's would you be ok with lumping it on another stage as a cross-series musical cameo, like the Golden Sun music in Norfair or Balloon Fight in the Ice Climbers stages pre-3DU?

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! Was talking with a friend about Iajitsu using Lyn the other day so I can get on board with that - a character all about zoning and such. The rest I think can be covered by characters from other franchises that, I admit, I would personally find more appealing since pretty much every other fighter is already jampacked with bishies and half naked ladies, and so far, it looks Sakurai agrees with me.
The moment where I'm glad that my traditional main has no projectile attacks.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
Captain Falcon, DK, Jigglypuff?

I saw some people on another forum speculate how the Special Flag could work and they had a really nice idea: Essentially, it could be like a special version of the Assist Trophy where you summon old Namco arcade characters, as demonstrated by the Boss Galaga.
Do you think this could work? If true, which old-school Namco characters would ya like to see summoned?
