I loved having Snake in Brawl. He somehow managed to stick out yet fit right in at the same time, his moveset was pretty neat and fun to use, and the Codec calls were great. I don't think that last one will return even if Snake comes back, though, especially since Col. Campbell is retired as a character.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I can see him coming back, since retirement means jack. Snake is an extremely popular Smash character, and outside of switching him out for a Castlevania rep, there's really no good reason to drop him.
I still think that since the Wii U is very different from the Wii in practice, Smash will sell it more. Past evidence doesn't dictate a different system's thing. Could be similar, but who knows.
Shadow?I'm one of those who say that Konami's slot should go to Simon Belmont.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Irene: There is literally no reason to think that. As I demonstrated. Even the 3DS when it was struggling managed to sell almost as many copies of Mario Kart as the Wii in its prime sold of Brawl.
Anom: As do I.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is basically about how much Kojima doesn't want to talk about Solid Snake anymore. Every game since then has been a prequel starring Big Boss.

Of course there is, Bad Wolf. I don't let an earlier system matter to a new system. They aren't the same system, so I have zero reason to count it. It's irrelevant "evidence" to me.
Smash's changes are severe compared to Mario Kart 8. The new characters, new mechanics, removal of transformations. It's a huge change up never seen before. Mario Kart just isn't nearly as interesting that I can find. It has a decent list of characters, but that's the biggest addition. Not much else.
The past doesn't dictate the future at all. Interesting theory, but doesn't mean I should buy it whatsoever.
And if Sakurai wants Snake back, I can't much see Kojima denying him that.
Shadow?Irene: What.
You're ignoring categorical, mathematical evidence? Really? The differences to Smash Bros are not nearly as broad as you seem to think they are, either.
Mario Kart 8 also has new characters, and new mechanics (hovering carts and driving up walls). There are new characters and new mechanics in all Smash Bros games.
No offense, but your personal preference for Smash Bros means little in which series sells better. The actual sales history of them does.
We Are With You Zack Snyder
I don't think having the 3DS version release first will hurt the Wii U versions sales.
Many people want to play Smash Bros. in HD on their TV with four friends in the same room so that would be the version I think most people will get.
Also if it was the other way around with the 3DS version releasing last than nobody will purchase the 3DS version since people would think it is a step backward (Based on all the news sources commenting on the Smash Direct)
Also if they released at the same time many fans might only be able to purchase one version or the other since they would release at the same time.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure

Mega Man's moveset is awesome in general. I hope he and Sonic are here to stay.
