I like that Shiek and Zero Suit Samus are now seperate characters because now Zelda and Shiek have an extra attack that isn't used for transformations.
I also only played as one or the other so I never chose to switch between characters.
As for Samus and Zero Suit Samus I didn't like that the transformation was tied to the Final Smash so if I was playing as one that I wanted to play as at the time I never chose to use the Final Smash because I didn't want to transform into the other character and get acclimated to a whole new playing style in the same match.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
It wasn't tied to the final smash alone...Rapid Up and Down taunt button pressing or holding which ever button on the character select screen when done choosing the characters.

I knew that but what I was talking about was if I chose to play at Zero Suit Samus at the start of the match I didn't want to use the Smash Ball so I could stay as Zero Suit Samus or if I chose to play as Samus I didn't want to switch after the Final Smash and have to change my play style.
Huh, I got a post thumped. That's a new one.
In case anyone was missing out on the fun: To get at the crux of the matter, I think I know the reasoning behind the question about how Mewtwo is, allegedly, the most loathed Melee character. I did hear that there was apparently some subset of the fanbase who literally petitioned not to have Mewtwo in Brawl because, somehow, they were under the impression that he could not be well implemented, as if his weakness in Melee was somehow inherent to the character rather than a consequence of a few ill-advised numbers in the code somewhere.
I might have consequently had a bit of a shellshock flashback to the time I learned about this. (I was angry.) (A bit.) (Because dumb people.)
But yeah, it boggles the mind. Mewtwo even technically has a really decent moveset! His tilts and all work great. Just increase some numbers for more priority, more damage, more knockback on KO-moves, bigger hitboxes, etc, and you've got a very good character. How anyone can think that this character can and should not be brought back and done well is so beyond me it just tears away at the very base of my conception of reality.
Both those characters would be nice to have, though I don't really invest myself in anticipating characters anymore. I did feel a bit of a stinging sensation in my heart for a moment when I saw one of Rosalina's physical attacks and realized it looked a lot like the way I pictured a playable Gardevoir moving... but alas, 'twas not to be.
As for Mewtwo, it would be great if they went flashy by way of non-flashiness, got rid of all the purple stuff and instead just made his physic energy manifest as distortions in space-time. Just these little fields where the background behind it is distorted as if you were looking through a funny mirror.
Actually, scratch that first bit, that would be flashy like hell.

There are ways to make him a better fighter. A Mewtwo with Future Sight and Psycho Cut would be pretty cool. Hypothetically speaking every character could be good if you give them enough positive factors to balance out the negative factors. Too bad they won't give him the spoon for some of his attacks.
Hopefully, something involving the Gunship.

I sure said that!![]()

Ah, good point- I'm actually wondering if Zelda will get a new Final Smash and Sheik will retain the more directly action-y Light Arrow.
I'm mostly okay with it- It's still derived from something Samus usually can do, fire beams, even if the exact format is different. I kinda wish it were the Hyper Beam, though...

I sure said that! That could work. Granted, I believe it was Zelda herself who uses the Light Arrows in OOT, but she does have a greater amount of possibilities for a Final Smash beyond that, compared to Sheik.
...Clearly Zelda's Final Smash will be five different Zeldas firing Light Arrows all at once.

Welcome to th:|I finally read up on the whole thread and all I can say is...I feel like not having Smash Run in the Wii U version is a mistake, especially seeing as I can't yet see what mode there is to replace it. I'm not buying the 3DS version, I know that much.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."
They might not want that to be It Was His Sled like the Zelda-is-Sheik bit.
In more times than not, Light Arrows have something to do with Zelda. In OOT and ALBW, she gives them to you. In WW, TP and ST, she uses them in the final battle. And in Four Swords Adventure, she charges up a light ball which you need to shoot with an arrow to stun Ganon. Only in MM and MC have the Light Arrows having no relation with Zelda.

... You know, I want there being an event in the 3DS version where you are on the Balloon Fight stage and you have to knock out three Villagers by hittig them during their Balloon Helmet move.
And for added amusement, only have Bumpers spawn in Balloon Fight stage. Bumpers vs. Flippers.
