You can vote on a stage a la Mario Kart, but it doesn't show who chose what stage. And that's it: everything else is all items and 2:00 timed matches.

Speaking of which, I heard For Glory was on timed 2:00 too. I hope that changes, because I know almost every competitive match tends to be on stock.

That first one is great. Especially the 3 seperate notes to not make it high heels.

I have a message from another time...

For Fun will randomly select any stage except for Final Destination and its variants, while For Glory will randomly select a Final Destination variant. We only saw the Wii U menu for it, but it's hard to believe it won't be the case in for 3DS, too.

I sure said that!

@Nap: Four stock, eight minutes, to be precise.

Seriously, why is the default the option that no one uses?

It's unique to Smash and is a good method for three or four players since it means no one is sitting there idle while the match ends without them.

I sure said that!

I hope stock is standard for 1v1 matches then, because 2:00 is way too short a time for a fair match of that.

I'm guessing For Glory will default to 3-stock, since that's the typical in-game default.

Aha! Found one from Zero Mission◊ and one that I can't quite place◊(this was the one I remembered).

That first one is great. Especially the 3 seperate notes to not make it high heels.

Yeah, I love how some of the original art makes a specific point about how important it is to downplay the heels, only for her to go and put on those jelettos for the new Smash Brothers. And by love I mean that it further makes my point about how those things are completely out of place on her.

"This is too high."
"Heel should be no higher than this."
"ATTENTION!!! Don't give the heel too much height!" (With 'too much height' underlined, no less!)

Or rather, why everyone is desperate to see one of the most loathed Melee characters return?

I would guess that people didn't want to loath him. Which is part of the reason why they want him back - they want Mewtwo to be done right so that he lives up to the reputation he's supposed to have as a totally awesome fighter.

Because anyone who loathes Mewtwo in Melee can go straight to hell and die.

Seems like you would die and then go to hell.

Anyway, anyone have ideas for the customized movesets? I'm hoping Luigi gets a Thunderhand ability as an alternative to the Fireball...

"Most loathed character returning"? I don't recall anyone wanting Pichu back.

Oh, you meant Mewtwo, the clone with Charizard-levels of popularity among Pokemon fans and who had some great fighter ideas that were poorly implemented. That guy.

It would be cool if the variations of Pit's Upperdash Arm attack have him use different weapons.

Although now that I think about it, this should make it totally unnecessary to have clone characters who use borrowed specials with slightly different properties, because they could just give the original character the option to use either version of the move. But then, we've already seen that Luigi still has the Fireball, and of course Toon Link's still around, so...yeah...

Well to be fair, the heels were an invention of Other M, so Sakurai probably tried to justify them with the jets which look freaking awesome.

[down] Good point. But eh, they really don't bother me.

So, what are the thoughts of people on Zero Suit Samus and Sheik becoming separate characters from armored Samus and Zelda?

Smart move. When I play as Zamus, I didn't want to be forced into playing Power Suit Samus when I used the Final Smash. Sheik also is good enough to be his/her own standalone character.

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 Smash

[up][up] I think it's a sweet idea. It fleshes out all of their move sets a little more, and Zelda's Phantom looks awesome.

The limit in random Online matches was 2:00 because replays only counted 3 minutes or less.

Shiek and Zelda being their own chracters...whatever.

...They were always playable separately. Unlike the Ice Climbers and Bowser/Giga Bowser. So were Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard.

Then again, they were separate anyway according to Word of God, so it's no surprise they're made more separate by losing a move at best.
