Preferences or not, Palutena is far more likely than Medusa. Palutena has importance, screen-time, and the series being named after her to her advantage. Medusa has being a villain, but I rather doubt that is a huge factor.
Add Tom Nook to the list of notable deconfirmations by the way.

And what's probably Night Slash.
It also can make swords out of water for some attacks, so who knows.

I sure said that!I mean that Mega Lucario seems to be more something that's just permanently activated at some point. There's no glow or darkened background, and as far as we know the only benefit to Mega Lucario is having max power regardless of damage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh dagnabit.
Everyone, I hope you brought your detective goggles today, because you're gonna be using them.

Yes, but Wario Man also gains invincibility, flight, and is stronger and faster than he was as Wario. All we know about Mega Lucario so far is that its aura attacks are at full power regardless of Lucario's current health. If that's it, that's a weak Final Smash.
Obviously there could be something more, but for now I'm a bit hesitant to say it's Lucario's Final Smash.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Medusa is the first big bad of the series, and has a villain dynamic (yes I'm using tha like an actual term) with Pit.
I mean the whole reason the big twist of Uprising works is because Medusa is such a prominent villain for Pit.
If Palutena is Zelda, Medusa is Ganondorf.
So, again, I say you have a valid point specifically about the trophy quiz troll.

Well, Sakurai may have just not mentioned other boosts it gives because they're not as major as Aura being at permanent full power. And keep in mind that Aura's effects have been boosted in general compared to Brawl, so it may not be as weak as it sounds.
Anyway, speaking of Palutena's Temple, it looks to me like the largest stage yet in the series.

Welcome to th:|Max Aura Lucario seems absurdly powerful compared to regular Lucario so it doesn't seem that weird to me.
If it was just colors, what if it also applied to items?
Turning red when swinging a fire bar, icy blue when tossing a Freezie, pink when grabbing a Fairy Botttle, and etc.
I have a message from another time...I just realized another point in favor of Palutena over Medusa. Traditionally, the secondary hero/sidekick has gotten before the villain. Luigi before Bowser. Falco before Wolf. Diddy before K. Rool. Jigglypuff before Mewtwo if you count it as a villain. Kirby is the main exception, but Meta Knight is more of a rival anyway.
Now that I think about it, I also thought that it doesn't make any sense as a Final Smash, buuut... what if the actual maximum power scales all the way up to, like, 999%? A final smash putting you at max power regardless of damage would be horrible if it's possible to not gain anything from it because you already are in the first place, but if the maximum isn't reached at something like 200%, that situation is just not going to happen.

Smash 64 was more focused on the main characters in a franchise cross over fighting game...so that would mean no villains technically.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So before I go to bed, a question to anyone better at analyzing these things than I am: How do the physics compare so far?
I haven't seen quite enough footage with enough attention to detail yet to come to a conclusion regarding how floaty it is, how strong hitstun is, how much running momentum factors into the speed of jumps, how long characters take to land before being allowed to move again...
I did notice a trend that most attacks seem to be pretty fast, even on someone like Bowser.

I don't want Mewtwo to get a Mega Evolution. We've already got two Pokemon with that. Three is pushing it.
