Tiki was deconfirmed? All they did was show her her (regular) trophy, right?

Here's my preferred roster.

...That empty space is where Greninja would go. The version of the roster maker I have comes from before we knew he existed, so I was unable to include him.

If Palutena is a fighter, she would instantly be my main. I don't care if I'm good at using her or not, she would be my main.

Hey guys? I just noticed something.

Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing move is a buff move, right? Didn't Lucas have that as one of his moves in Project M? PSI Attack Up, I think it was his neutral B.

Sakurai might be taking jabs at the competitive community with that whole Final Destination thing but I think the teams's also taking some pointers.

Buff moves seem too ubiquitous to assume they got the idea from Project M.

Besides, a move that increases your strength is thematically appropriate for a yoga-based fighter.

I wouldn't assume he specifically targeted them unless Ness is given the same move he got in Project M. Olimar got the same Pikmin count nerf although Sakurai is trying to make up for it with Winged Pikmin so that's one thing it has over Project M.

I mean it's thematically appropriate of course, I'm just thinking maybe he's secretly looking at that mod and referencing it in ways that won't get them in legal trouble.

I assume it'd be hard to not look at a mod that has a Vocal Minority that's shouting to the stars that they're doing your job better than you are.

So, I think we have all of Wii Fit Trainer's specials down now- Neutral is Sun Salutation, Side Special is a volleyball spike, Up Special is a rising hula hoop maneuver and Down Special is Deep Breathing.

... Let's patch together some more, while we're at it!

Greninja's got Substitute (presumably Down Special), Water Shuriken (presumably Standard Special, seems to be a Samus/Mewtwo/Lucario-style charged projectile but maybe can be made into a weak flurry by rapidly hitting B?) and Waterfall, probably an Up Special and drastically different from Squirtle's.

I sure said that!
Kostya (Unlucky Thirteen)
#40586: Apr 9th 2014 at 12:55:05 PM

I thought Greninja was using substitute as his side special. Doesn't he dash forward after he reappears? He also has Night Slash for the final smash.

So if Lucario gets his Mega Evolution as a final smash does anyone else think Mewtwo might get an Aura Storm inspired Psystrike like Project M had?

Seeing as how Mewtwo ALSO has a Mega Evolution, I doubt it.

I'm guessing it'll either go Mega Y- To counter Charizard's Mega X FS- Or randomly shift to X or Y, use Psystrike, then shift back.

I sure said that!

Isn't it a mod of Nintendo's game in the first place?

Psystrike's nature as a Sphere of Destruction in the movies makes it prime Final Smash material...

[up][up][up]Pseudo-Palutena trolling, popular female from a game Sakurai made, plenty of moveset potential, Pit's FS changing, and just some general hinting with her stage just like Little Mac had. And that's ignoring the leak.

Pseudo-Palutena's trophy being in the trophy quiz doesn't add anything to the idea that Palutena is in. Just having something that involves that character doesn't confirm the character. Or else Ridley would be, like, super duper confirmed.

Yeah- I'm not against Palutena, but I'd rather Medusa be included, considering she's the series' signature villain.

...What's her "plenty of moveset potential"...?

And I dunno if the stage really means anything, any more than the Tomodachi stage would mean a Mii is playable, or Pyrosphere would mean Ridley is playable.

[up][up][up][up]Not Nintendo, the Project M team. Nintendo has every reason to order a C&D on them at this point, but they haven't. Maybe the Smash team actually likes it but can't say anything without lawsuits being forced to happen, so their form of appreciation is to keep quiet and maybe do stuff like this. Or [down]

I'd prefer to have Psystrike over Mega Evolution for Mewtwo. It's its signature move, whereas Mega Evolution is already present for Lucario and Charizard (Though I have to wonder if that's Lucario's Final Smash or not. It doesn't seem like a Final Smash.).

[up]It's more likely that they don't care.

I can agree specifically with the possibility from the Pseudo-Palutena trolling.

Notable female and moveset potential can also apply to Medusa, Pit's final smash seems kind of obvious simply due to him now having weapons outside the 3 Treasures to form his moveset, and I'd expect a palace stage even if Pit were the only rep (It's the most prominent feature of Skyworld).

...What's her "plenty of moveset potential"...?

Uprising. chapter 20.

We really need to pin this to an FAQ or something.

How doesn't it seem like a Final Smash? It seems comparable enough to, say, Wario-Man, at least. And it seems unlikely that it could be activated through any other method...

[up][up][up]Yes. I know you fight her. But her abilities from that one fight don't really strike me as enough to build an entire moveset around.

Hmmm, I don't know if I find most of those reasons terribly convincing, but I'm curious about the stage-hinting. The boxing ring was announced before Little Mac was, right? And one of the new stages is Palutena's... Palace or so? And it's not the only Kid Icarus stage, right? I guess I could see it. I certainly wouldn't complain! I faintly recall being totally in love with the idea after watching some gameplay trailers with her.
