It could be stopping as part of its attack pattern, but if there's nobody in range it doesn't attack?
I definitely feel like something fishy is going on here, but I don't think it'll mean playable Ridley.
You never know, of course.
I kinda hope if Ridley IS playable they reveal him before the games' release, so that whether I try to spoiler-dodge or not the biggest, most badass reveal is shown spectacularly, rather than overhearing "oh by the way Ridley is playable" from someone else. It would just be undignified to hear of him secondhand like that.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I just want a straight answer so every new thread on GameFAQs isn't "Ridley fans are delusional" or some variation thereof.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarNon damaging recovery, chargeable energy ball, grapple like smash (that's three specials) plus floaty jumps and slow fall speed. Lucario does have better reach for body size and attack speed, infinite wall jump and a damage increasing gimmick (he doesn't suck as much) and while he lacks a reflector he still has a counter attack that teleports. There is much about him that invokes Mewtwo, more than most in-game Lucarios you will encounter or the behavior suggested by the Pokedex.

Buldogue's lawyerExtremespeed damages now.
Regardless, the only truly similar move they have is their neutral-B moves, I feel. Saying that their Up-B moves are clone moves is like saying that Link and DK are clones because their Up-Bs involve spinning, or that Samus and Wii Fit Trainer are clones because they have a chargeable blast.
I think one shot showed that the bomb is on the end of said chain.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm wondering what modes Wii U version will have. I assume it'll have some exclusive mode(s), otherwise it's just a prettier version with different stages.
I hope they push the Wii U's hardware to its limit rather than try to make it "equal" to the 3DS version. Even though the rosters are the same, there's no reason they can't jam way more content into the Wii U version.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The only part of the Subspace Emissary I liked was the idea of characters teaming up, like Samus with Pikachu. The gameplay I thought was too floaty and obviously-built-for-a-fighting-game to be a decent platformer and too long and drawn-out to be a fun beat-em-up sidescroller. And the story made no sense at all unless you'd followed the official blog everyday and seen Sakurai say, "Oh yeah, also we cut this cutscene that is necessary for any of this to make any modicum of sense."
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Smashing!

The delay could also have something to do with the still-unknown connectivity feature(s).

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI never said it was a cloned move, I said he was transferred, more or less (exact words) and then explained why that was.
The fact that extreme speed now damages is kind of irrelevant to the point anyway but...mentioning that is missing the point anyway. That's a change to be a little closer to how Lucario is in his game. The zero suit's usage in Brawl was about the biggest detachment they could have possibly made from Metroid, it would have been better off as an "future release" character. A Justin Bailey Shout-Out would have at least been funny.
Buldogue's lawyer@ Pulse: A GameFAQer put it best.
If you look beneath the fanservice coating, it just seems to be another boring anime-cliche "super beam" attack...
But I'll be damned if that sweet fanservice coating doesn't more than make up for it.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIf you don't mind me asking, the main page for Smash detailing which characters come from which game is cool, but the Lucario and Mewtwo have their respective movies listed instead. Can I change that?
Also, Do we still lump Charizard with Pokemon Trainer for series-wide lists, or designate the solo Charizard separately?

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! They come from those games. Sakurai previously said he looks at the movies to determine Pokemon characters(as well as other media. What's hot and all), but we don't know if the fact they both had movies were exactly why they got in, so they don't belong outside of WMG.
I'm thinking to keep Charizard within Pokemon Trainer, and if he displays any new tropes beyond the fact he's now separated, maybe a new section. It's not as easy with Zelda/Sheik and Samus/Zero Suit Samus. Likewise, we don't know if the other two are returning yet, just that he appears to not be controlled by Pokemon Trainer any longer.

Shadow?

@Pulse, I know, but the first pic of that stage had the cage empty. Unless the Mii gets out of the cage mid battle, I don't know what else it could mean.
