Is it just me, or does the platform in Final Destination
◊ kind of look like the good and evil swords from the Soul Calibur franchise?
At least the colour scheme.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI was just looking at it and Soul Calibur just popped into my head, and I was like "Oh right, Namco."

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI'd like to see some sort of Top 10 Trolling Moments from the Direct list. Palutena would probably be at the top.
She's still pretty much an original character without any advantages actually being one would bring. It'd be different if Metroid was something hurting for representatives or Nintendo was lacking in new characters in general. The only thing their short on is things from new stories, so to speak.
Sora's already transferred Mewtwo over to Lucario, more or less, so it is not like there would be zero precedent for doing the same to the latex whip lady.
Buldogue's lawyer@ Anom: This guy would disagree with you.

This was apparently edited onto Sakurai's Wikipedia page after the Nintendo Direct Trailer.
Sakurai was attacked on April 9, 2014 at 8:05 am at Namco Bandai Japan after angry Mewtwo fans stormed the building after the announcement of Greninja in Super Smash bros. Sakurai was apparently carried to the top floor of the building where the fans threw him out the window saying "You must recover!". Upon impact Sakurai broke every bone in his body. A angry fan then stole a steamroller and flattened Sakurai's remains, a Mewtwo plush was discovered in his office sitting in his chair.
I feel horrible for laughing, but I think it was the "You must recover!" that got to me.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThe silver-ish wing tip DOES make me sincerely curious, as does his hesitance to just say "Ridley's a boss, sorry" or even SHOW him beyond a shadow and a wingtip. But I'm guessing he's just being a bit of a troll here, or expects us to just interpret it as a deconfirmation.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! When it comes to Pokemon, they really focus on the whole "bipedal" thing. Well, when they're the same size (not Charizard).
Also, maybe it's possible that Ridley's a boss, but Sakurai thinks it's so awesome that he wants people to see it for themselves.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Anyone notice that there was a Mii in the cage at the Find Mii stage this time? Now, not that it can't be another legitimate Alfonso situation, this might be a knock against the idea of Miis as a character.
Also, bit of trivia: for people like me that counted PT as one character, Charizard and Greninja brings the number of Pokemon reps to 4, the same number as in Melee and Brawl. If we can still think of Jigglypuff as returning, that will give Pokemon the same number as Mario in Melee and 3DU, and be the most Pokemon has had in one game (unless you count PT as 3 characters.)
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!
x4 But again, he moves like a human is controlling him directly. Sakurai's constant apparent misdirection makes me think Ridley's gonna be the big drop at E3.
That's actually a part of Find Mii in the on-board software. I'm assuming the stage will use the system Mii for the cage as well.

I sure said that!On the topic of SoCal influences for FD, we need that announcer as this game's announcer. It's the only logical course of action.
Yeah, the link I posted above has a GameFAQ member basically spell out all the nuances of how Ridley's shadow was moving. To keep it succinct, he pointed out that the quirks in his movement were identical to a human-controlled character.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThe pattern seemed way too erratic for it to be part of a boss' A.I.
(Now watch me eat my words in the upcoming weeks/months.)

I don't know why you're bemoaning it when the Zero Suit's been a thing since 2004.
On the contrary, I can't see how the cross-platform release isn't a smart move for Nintendo. The 3DS has been a portable juggernaut since it picked up steam about two years back and the Wii U needs a similar push. Releasing one of the company's biggest Killer Apps on both would be a good thing.
Anyway, it looks like some GameFAQs posters think Isaac will make the jump to playable status since his Assist Trophy wasn't shown. (Then again, a bunch of other Brawl ATs weren't shown...) And they're having the same Ridley debate we are.
Here's a more notable "conspiracy" thread.
