For Fun: Random Stage Selection, all stages except for Final Destination. All Items can appear. Good for 4-player Smash Bros. mayhem.
For Glory: Random stage selection of all the Final Destination version of stages, including Final Destination. No Items. Good for the 1 vs. 1 competitive Smashing.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I don't see any reason to think the transformations were changed just to pad out the roster. Maybe the 3DS couldn't handle it, although if that's the case, then it was either "pad out the roster" or cut the characters entirely.
In any case, with Zelda and Sheik I get the impression that most people would just stick with one all the time anyways, and I think a lot of people were unhappy about the forced-switching mechanics involved with Samus and Pokemon Trainer. So I think the transformations very well could have been separated purely because it was determined to be the best decision for gameplay.

Welcome to th:|I don't mind the split, even if it does feel sorta weird in the same way having Mario and Dr. Mario as separate roster slots felt a little weird. It also kinda killed Ivysaur and Squirtle, presumably.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
x4 If most people barely used Smash Balls, I doubt they cared for it with Samus.
Why? ZSS is Awesome.

I think it's a fair compromise, making the heels actually a practical tool rather than just "fashion". Sorta reminds me of the long-fall boots from Portal.

I don't mind Sheik as much when you consider that she's technically a different Zelda than the other one, so it's not really different from having both Link and Toon Link.
...Although, I got nothing for Samus. At least she's not a clone.

I've never gotten the impression that most people don't use Smash Balls at all. Competitive players, sure, but they're not really the majority.
Yeah, my brother has mained Samus since Melee and wasn't a big fan of having to switch to another character after using his Final Smash either...Admittedly that's the source for most of the complaints about that mechanic I've heard, but yeah.

While it's understandable that you want the WiiU version to be special the fact that the roster is going to be released shouldn't negate that since if it's anything like the 3DS version it will have its own unique differences. And even taking the roster into account if you've been online you were going to get spoiled for either version regardless of which one came out first.

YES. I'm glad I'm not alone on comparing them to the Long-Fall Boots.
Enlong: Night Slash seems like a fair one, as does Acrobatics. Was Night Slash the one where the screen cut to black before having a red cut across the background?

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse Alberia@Chariot: No, only if there were a pre-release leak like with Pokemon X and Y. Assuming I got the game on release day, I see no reason I'd wind up spoiled unless I went somewhere with no spoiler policy or specifically looked up spoilers.
Heck, were it not for Brawl coming out earlier in Japan, I'd probably have gone into Brawl completely unspoiled thanks to getting it two days before its official release by chance.
I was thinking the same thing, actually. It DOES look like Ragnarok.

Odie: Heck, I still think it's a surprise choice, even if he is a starter. Prior to this game, not just any starter could get in; sure, there was Pokémon Trainer, but he had all three starters from the very first games in the series. Pikachu is the series mascot. Even Charizard, by himself, is the most popular of the three original starters. Greninja is relatively small fry in comparison.
"We're home, Chewie."
