One other thing that occurred to me - if they were going to make Sheik's moveset separate from Zelda anyways, it seems like a missed opportunity to give it to Impa...It's not a big deal, but it just seems like it would make more sense instead of having a separate character who's also Zelda and has only appeared in one game...I dunno.

Welcome to th:|It seemed clear to me that he was being intentionally ambiguous about Ridley. Whether his motives for doing so are simply to troll, or he wants to misdirect us, I cannot say.
Also, Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Tortimer Island...

"We're home, Chewie."What excites me the most is the Mega Man's Final Smash included MegaMan Trigger. It probably means nothing but still...
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It wasn't a missed opportunity. If Impa can be playable, she can have her own slot and not be connected to Zelda. She has her own moves from multiple games to draw on. She doesn't have to be a lame replacement clone.
@Enlong: I could honestly barely hear Sakurai. I couldn't even tell how they were separated. I'm sure Smash Wiki will quote it or somebody will here. Still too bad, I liked transformations. But hey, if they strain the 3DS version, fair enough. I know they started to remove that from Shang Tsung in later games due to the size of the transformations and all.
Shadow?@Irene: But I don't want Impa in addition to Sheik. That doesn't strike me as particularly necessary or interesting. And half of the reason for it to begin with is that Sheik isn't especially important on her own.
Although who knows, maybe Sheik'll turn up in the Wii U Zelda.

Welcome to th:|So with Rids as a boss/hazard and Dark Samus as an AT, I guess Metroid is not getting a new rep. Oh, well...
I didn't really have high hopes for Ridley anyway, so this nail in the coffin isn't too upsetting. I'm more upset that the Wii U version is coming out later. Now when it comes out I'll already know the roster from the 3DS version, and it won't feel as fresh.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

Anyway... I'm predicting Sceptile will show up sometime, since it's the only Grass starter that isn't from an already represented gen with the right sort of body type for Smash.
I sure said that!
