I suppose the fact that it wasn't a purple aura should've tipped me off to the fact that it wasn't Mewtwo.
But, still, Charizard (without being weighed down by Squirtle and Ivysaur) and Greninja? That's Turk and JD from my X run! Hell yes.

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805True. Dark Samus looks legit, too. It might be a bone they threw to let fans know they recognize the dissatisfaction with Other M (none of the other things showcased that were Metroid related involved it either, I noticed, unless that Metroid trophy was from that game.)

Yoshi was safe, it was just a matter of time before he showed up.
I kinda like that Sheik is back and that Zelda has a nifty new Down Special at the same time.
Metroids have basically had the same design from the first game onwards, so it's not anything to note.

I sure said that!So...
- Ridley deconfirmed, boo.
- Fire Bar item made me laugh out loud. Bowser: "That isn't how those are supposed to work!!"
- They actually JUSTIFIED the ZSS heels. Fair compromise.
- Yay, Yoshi!
- Charizard returning without the others? Sorta disappointing, especially with all the preening it gets, but SUDDEN GRENINJA WHAT THE HELL?! It looks very fun to play as.
I'm worried about the Wii U version. The 3DS gets an earlier release date and Smash Run, and the Wii U has... a method for more stable internet connection.
I managed to guess Greninja shortly before it happened.
"Who's that? Some kind of ice-ninja?"
"Wait, no, that looks more like a water shurike- Water Shuriken! Greninja!"

I have a message from another time...![]()
Even if it were back, I don't think that would outright deconfirm Lip.

I sure said that!@Enlong: Yeah, that's what worried me about the Wii U version to begin with - that it would basically just be there while the 3DS version would get all the cool new stuff. The fact that it's coming out half a year later than the 3DS version makes that concern much worse. I'll still get it so I can do local multiplayer, but I am concerned about its overall impact...

Welcome to th:|![]()
I think that'd be looking into it a bit too much.
Oh, yeah, the other thing that disappointed me is the disparity in release dates. I wanted to get the Wii U version first, and be surprised by it, rather than have the 3DS version spoil it.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, technically he wasn't deconfirmed. His shadow was just seen on the Pyrosphere stage while Sakurai mentioned boss characters showing up on other stages. No mention that he's one of those bosses.
Crafty son of a gun, that Sakurai.
Greninja'd.

"We're home, Chewie."What Pulse said. He still forgot to say Starfy's status, although it's probably the same.
However, the gameplay did tell us that Goroh's an AT again. I think the symbols to rep which player was which was over everybody's head.
I'm glad he got a lot of unconfirmed stuff out of the way. Costumes, etc.
Shadow?Of course, "For Glory" mode is No Items, Final Destination. So much trolling. But all the Final Destination forms look great.
Stray comments here:
- I'm mixed about there being no more transformations, especially since I used to love entering a match as ZSS and then just chucking her armor at people. I also wonder (though I might have missed this) what her Final Smash is.
- I wasn't looking closely enough, was Bad Box Art Mega Man in Rock's Final Smash? Please tell me Bad Box Art Mega Man was there. That would make my life.
-
PONGTV GAME 15, F—K YEAH - I wonder if the Firebars spin like in a Mario game when they're stationary after being thrown.

Greninja caught me by surprise. Like completely.
