So last night I dreamed that the Direct was out already and everyone was freaking out because it confirmed Ridley. I almost got excited until I realized it was only Monday.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSI have been out of the loop for so long that I have little idea what Nintendo Direct even is.
And I've been a Nintendo freak ever since I gained cognizance. What is this thing that people are losing their minds over.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThis
.
It's inactive right now. In about 20 hours and 25 minutes the video will start. Think of it like a volcano on the verge of eruption, but instead deluges of searing magma, storms of raining stone, and pyroclastic smog, it's deluges of info, storms of footage, and pyroclastic smog.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I don't think the tripping quote was vague in any way whatsoever. You have to consider the context in which the words were spoken in, not just look at the words clinically. There is no controversy over forced tripping. Nobody (or at least few people) care about getting it removed. Random tripping however, is a huge thing, there's been tons of controversy over it. Sakurai isn't blind or deaf to the talks about it, and neither are the people who would interview him. So when someone asks him, as one of the first things they want to know about the game, if tripping is removed, and Sakurai says it is, then I see no reason not to believe that both of them understood that random tripping was what was meant.

All most Nintendo Directs are is that they show trailers of up coming games. Sometimes they have world premieres. The reason they call them Nintendo Directs is because Nintendo is showing off the games directly to the fans.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure@Key: Basically, it's kinda like a mini-E3 online video broadcast that they have almost every month. They're about 30 to 50 mintutes long, and focus on their upcoming games (including third party games).
This one coming up tomorrow is 100% about Super Smash Bros. SOOO we should expect plenty of info on Smash, I think.
Unless you can link to the actual twitter post, Moth 13, we have to take it as vague for the purpose of the Wiki itself. None of that matters. He didn't say random tripping, so it's not a confirmation no matter what. The article may have even misquoted it for all we know. It's worthless in that regard. It doesn't matter what our opinions are on what the article meant. What matters is what it says, and it's not specific.
Likewise, Lying Creator has to be taken into account. Maybe it will be back. And he did that to please the masses. If the article itself actually specified random tripping, it could be legitimately said "Random tripping is definitely gone", but it wasn't. It was left in the air as a factual statement. No, implications don't count for facts. They only count for speculation. You're going to just have to accept he didn't confirm which was leaving.(assuming he keeps his word, anyway. He removed Villager from Brawl because he didn't think he was fighting material. And changed his mind later. Never know what he'll do. Honestly, I don't the majority severely hate random tripping as is, just when it happens during a non-fun match only. I don't have a problem with it at all outside of Single Player and Competitive matches.)
We don't know for sure what he meant, and can only garner a guess at best. Why the interviewer decided to not just outright ask according to the article "Will random tripping return?" is up to interpretation. It was still vague in some way. What makes you so sure nobody hates forced tripping either? I find it even worse than the far more rare random tripping, which I'll gladly take over people abusing tripping via items/moves. It's pretty damn clearly YMMV.

Shadow?I'm pretty sure a report about an interview counts as a reliable secondary source. Also, if Lying Creator is enough to not even entertain the notion that he might be telling the truth, why should we accept anything he's ever said? Hell, maybe he doctored all those pictures on the website and the game has nothing like those apparent features. We simply can't know until release date. It's enough for us to write it down in the articles, with the words "likely", "probably", and others that indicate near certainty, as these things are worth saying.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"The original twitter cannot be found. I searched the entire thing. It doesn't go that far back. There's no way to tell what the original wording was, so it's not a reliable source whatsoever.
And please don't be obtuse. We're only putting confirmed stuff where applicable on the Wiki itself. The strict definition specifically. If the article didn't even paraphrase in the first place, he could've meant any kind of tripping wouldn't return. Or as a whole. But some did. That makes the article even less reliable as well. It's just not a good one for confirmations. We'll just have to wait for him to properly confirm it word for word(with zero things left to interpretation) or for the game to come out. Either, or. Till then, it might still be there.
Shadow?Let's not be obtuse. While this site is a wiki, we're discussing stuff on forums. We don't need to be super strict to say Metroid and Starfy are Assist Trophies, or that Sakurai is doing something about tripping.
That being said, the whole tripping thing has been weird enough that I'm staying out of it, though he seems to be removing random tripping.
I said it once and I'll say it again: Occam's Razor is your friend.
Regarding the Direct: Much to my dissapointment, I might miss it. Hopefully I'll see some great reveals once I get back (and a wall of forum posts I'll have to climb over).
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

Personally, I don't even really care about what character announcements there might be in this Direct...I'm just itching to find out about the new modes and stuff.
Although with a Smash Direct being a unique occasion, I do find myself thinking that it would be a good place to reveal the characters who have special sets of circumstances...namely, Snake and Mewtwo.
