How the hell does that thing work? Toon Link isn't even holding it.

It's using the Super Scope animations, so either they haven't gotten around to working on unique ones, or figured it wasn't an important enough detail to correct.

SS Link died, Ravio took his items, and sold them to the highest bidder (Sakurai) before Link could buy them back.

Personally, I think Sonic stole the items right before he went to get the Triforce.

Pikachu's Thunderbolt doesn't come from the top of the screen anymore, instead it appears out of a thundercloud. The thundercloud can Meteor Smash people, though.

I thought it always did that. Granted, maybe it was a very tiny cloud and one that didn't also Meteor Smash, but I'm 99.9% sure Pikachu's Thunder attack didn't just randomly fall from the sky. Try it out on a huge, deep stage or in a tall enough enclosed area and see.

Yes, there was always a thunder cloud, but the Meteor Smash is new.

I know it did in Brawl. In 64 I think it came from the top of the stage. I don't remember where it came from in Melee.

It always came from a thunder cloud in Melee and Brawl, it's just that it spawned so high it often couldn't be seen.

I sure said that!

I don't have 64, but I know that melee and brawl had thundercloud

64 was from top of the screen. The thundercloud might've been offscreen, though, to the naked eye.

Gotta love how one half of Miiverse's comments are screaming "Buff!" and the other half are screaming "Nerf!".

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

Its only a slight "nerf" though...the height of the cloud only means it'll hit even faster now.

Pikachu buff? I can dig that.

I think it's a buff overall, but it nerfs one specific, annoying tactic (sniping players in mid-air, since it'll now send them down instead of up).

[up]You have no idea how many "Obvious Noob" players in online matches would literally ONLY do that attack and tactic through out the entire match....Its seriously the most annoying thing ever, both watching and playing.

Also, the cloud spawns much lower now, making hitting airborne targets harder.

Seems like it still has pretty decent range, though. Judging by that screenshot, it still seems pretty broken tongue
