I figure that Dark Samus's final smash would be either the Metroid Prime form or the Echoes. The Aurora Unit, well, it just doesn't have that "Final Smash" potential that the other options have.

I mean, seriously, fighting two or three of them at once, none of which can be identified as real or fake? Sounds FUN.

It might be interesting. One or two of her echoes would be computer-controlled, and would break if you hit them once.

Or might only break if you hit her, which you could tell if you've learned how to differentiate players from computers.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay

(The Leviathans do form cores before impact. You can see one in the live one you board, remember?)

For the Dark Echoes, I'd assume that they could be destroyed, but just one hit sounds rather weak for a Final Smash. Perhaps after taking 40-50% damage.

I'm not saying it would be the Metroid Prime form, I'm saying it should turn into Metroid Prime as a result of the final Smash, it should be a playable character too.

We have already had this discussion...

I'd just have it turn into the Prime form for the Final Smash.

The discussion on two pages ago, mainly Pheer's post, should show why I referred to it as "Dark Hunter". Also, I'd rather not have three characters with Samus in their name running around.

Honestly, Dark Samus is the next best choice for a slot after Rids. Unless someone can figure out how to make a Metroid playable.

[up][up]But her name is Dark Samus. Calling her "Dark Hunter" just so she doesn't have "Samus" in her name is silly. It would be like calling Wolf "Mr. O'Donnell" just so the Star Fox crew don't all have animal names. Or Toon Link "Cel-Shaded Hero of Winds" just so he doesn't have Link in his name.

As has already been stated, it is also referred to as "Dark Hunter" in-series. That is the main reason I go with that name.

Only as a monicker by the Space Pirates in their lore. All official materials, scan log data, and health bars refer to her as Dark Samus.

The thing is, was she ever called Dark Samus in-game anywhere but her health bars and the Scans of her?

More importantly, Dark Hunter sounds Bad Ass

Yes. Dane and the Aurora Unit refer to her as Dark Samus.

I think some of Prime 3's Pirate lore also uses Dark Samus instead of assorted monickers

Three characters would not be an issue because I would be replacing one of them. Metroid Prime to Dark Samus would be the means for keeping the moveset changing after final smash finishes gimmick.

But how about a discussion we haven't had yet. Are there any other Nintendo characters who could pull off that gimmick, without inventing most of their move set whole cloth?

Ah. Reminded me a lot of the Soul Edge. I wonder if Namco suggested it due to having a near identical eye just as somewhat of a insider joke.

But yeah, that's the Ore Club, the most basic of all the Club type weapons in Uprising. I hope it fires projectiles with smash attacks or from waiting long enough.

Quoth the Miiverse: "Here's a giant attack item, the Ore Club! It's made of minerals mined on the mountain of the gods. This bulky weapon can even unleash tornadoes."

Even Miiverse made the Sonic Wind(although not Sonic Wave/Sonic Storm) jokes and of course, Sonic and the Black Knight.

I'm predicting that it'll hamper movement speed somewhat, given that most Clubs do, including the Ore Club.

Disappointed it isn't the Black Club, come to think of it- The we could shoot giant iron balls until Beam Claws comes in.tongue

So that's two Kid Icarus: Uprising items now.

I'm certainly not complaining, but I can imagine there's a lot of butthurt over perceived favoritism going on elsewhere. tongue

^^Kid Icarus Uprising certainly did borrow a lot from brawl <_< Like menu design, trophies, bonus features, the "Do achievements which reveal picture beyond squares that can give you rewards" thing

That achievement thing came from Kirby's Air Ride first.
