It might be interesting. One or two of her echoes would be computer-controlled, and would break if you hit them once.
Or might only break if you hit her, which you could tell if you've learned how to differentiate players from computers.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay(The Leviathans do form cores before impact. You can see one in the live one you board, remember?)
For the Dark Echoes, I'd assume that they could be destroyed, but just one hit sounds rather weak for a Final Smash. Perhaps after taking 40-50% damage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! We have already had this discussion...
I'd just have it turn into the Prime form for the Final Smash.
The discussion on two pages ago, mainly Pheer's post
, should show why I referred to it as "Dark Hunter". Also, I'd rather not have three characters with Samus in their name running around.

But her name is Dark Samus. Calling her "Dark Hunter" just so she doesn't have "Samus" in her name is silly. It would be like calling Wolf "Mr. O'Donnell" just so the Star Fox crew don't all have animal names. Or Toon Link "Cel-Shaded Hero of Winds" just so he doesn't have Link in his name.
Three characters would not be an issue because I would be replacing one of them. Metroid Prime to Dark Samus would be the means for keeping the moveset changing after final smash finishes gimmick.
But how about a discussion we haven't had yet. Are there any other Nintendo characters who could pull off that gimmick, without inventing most of their move set whole cloth?
Buldogue's lawyerQuoth the Miiverse:
"Here's a giant attack item, the Ore Club! It's made of minerals mined on the mountain of the gods. This bulky weapon can even unleash tornadoes."

I figure that Dark Samus's final smash would be either the Metroid Prime form or the Echoes. The Aurora Unit, well, it just doesn't have that "Final Smash" potential that the other options have.
I mean, seriously, fighting two or three of them at once, none of which can be identified as real or fake? Sounds FUN.
