Tournaments that ban randomness are LAME.

Randomize everything! Items, stages, teams, even characters.

I still want some Stamina Mega Bunny Clear Reflect Light Fast Fixed fighting .

Hehe, even just Bunny Light Fast is enough. It's bouncing around just everywhere.

When playing casual, I love Big Blue. When I played in Apex, I liked Battlefield more than the others. I always hate the one with the tree blowing at you.

I'm quite partial to Battlefield.

Battlefield and Fountain of Dreams are still my favorite stages.

I also like Project M's Pokemon Stadium 2 though.

Give me enough Pokeemon Stadiums to encompass all types, I say.

I want to battle on a giant flower floating on a fairy wind, or a pair of enormous dragon statues, or inside a poltergeist-lousy house with a falling chandelier.

So, are any of you lady men and shemales ready to brawl with me online yet?
But...didn't Nintendo get rid of online functionality for Wii and DS games?

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.

Many tournaments play for actual money and recognition, so it's understandable turning off items there. For myself, I do whatever I feel like.

I just want one that cycles through four of the 17 non-Normal types each load up.

I sure said that!

Sector Z was my favorite stage in the original game. In Melee/Brawl, for casual play, Temple was the favorite, with Fourside in Melee and Shadow Moses in Brawl as close seconds. Battlefield is where its at for a straightforward fight in all of the games. In Wii U/3DS, the Boxing Ring will probably be my favorite as it provides a nice flat stage with no hazards (aside from the ropes) and comes with an amazing atmosphere to boot.

And it's smaller than Final Destination, and has two barriers in the form of said ropes, so it's at least probably not going to be as projectile-friendly as Final Destination.

I myself am a big fan of the Mute City/Port Town Aero Dive/Delfino Plaza type stages.

I sure said that!

For a tournament I see nothing wrong with banning items especially if there's some kind of prize on the line. It's just more fair. When playing casually I prefer items but I have no issue with cutting them out. The only thing that bugs me are "Stop Having Fun" Guys that look down on those who like items or Project M type stuff where all the fun gimmicks of stages are removed.

[up]This so much. Most stages, I can at least see the reasons for banning them. But... eh, I'll leave it at that.

Oh, and my all-time favorite stage in the franchise is Fourside.waii

I want more stages that randomly change their layout. That way people don't have good strategies for dealing with all of the gimmicks. ;p

Maybe, but it'd be a specific protest to those people.

There should be more tournaments with random circumstances.

I'm not sure if my Wii U is connected while in "Wii Mode." I've never tried it. I might have to set up the connection from scratch, and really there's no point in bothering to go through the work now.

Yeah, I think we should leave it on that.

My favorite stage has always been the Metroid stage in Melee. Zebes, I think, or Brinstar. It involved stomach acids rising out of the floor so I could spike that cheating bastard AI right into it.

[down]

I have a lengthy answer to that. The short answer is that it's probably reactionary, a clash of two schools of thought. Spite being a little strong here.

I don't understand the whole "let's have things JUST to agitate the competitive players out of spite!" attitude. It's basically "sticking it to the man" when "the man" isn't even doing anything. Aside from a few jerkwads, but they'd just use it as further fuel in their crusades.

It's the same thing as the competitive players agitating the casual crowd out of spite. People are childish and refuse to respect other opinions and play styles. That's all there is to it.

Casual or Competitive are both great ways to play. There's no reason to hate on either of 'em. The fact of the matter is, they're both acting the exact same way "My way is right and yours is wrong". They have more in common than we think.

@Enlong: Second golden rule of Smash: Just ignore spiteful comments on the competitive/casual community and try to change the subject.

I hope they remove Giga Bowser from this game, even as a boss. I don't like how they made his arms and legs so long and skinny (relatively), it looks ridiculous.

I personally hope Giga retuns as a boss, perhaps in an Event Match.
