I really woulda liked for some of the characters featured in that game to have their careers revived by that game, but aside from Little Mac, nothing doing so far...

Hmm... Takamaru and Balloon Fight (using Miis) were the only main games in Nintendo Land to not currently have a Smash representative. Maybe Nintendo is trying to revive that game. It would take me more to be convinced though. Anything else?
Before Nintendo Land he made an appearance in Samurai Warriors 3, where he not only had his own mode but could also be unlocked and played in the rest of the game.
I think his chances are actually a lot higher than one would expect, considering the recent exposure.
EDIT: Oh, and apparently not only did he also have a sticker in Brawl, but a microgame in Wario Ware D.I.Y. was based on his game.

Ah, that's fair, then.
There really needs to be a forum weapon clip of Double-D saying "...in Japan."
Dude's so big he got his own Wikipedia article.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaOnlyin the Japanese version. We got a Pikmin microgame over here. (Which doesn't really fit in with 9-Volt's whole retro theme, but I like Pikmin, so I ain't complaining.)
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSThis might be not related to Smash Bros. But because Pikachu is in it I will. Pikachu is going to be Japan's mascot in Brazil 2014 World Cup!
...That's awesome.
They should, like, have an alternate costume for Pikachu in SSB 4 with a "Go Japan" uniform or something to commemorate this.
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliteratorThose guys better start making some damn running shoes with instructions right now.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Striker Eureka confirmed for Smash!
By the way, maybe Japan is due for a new team name. Electric Samurai would be better than "Blue Samurai", and it would help it catch up to such grandiose team names as the Three Lions (England), Super Eagles (Nigeria), Brave Gentlemen (Jordan), Princes of Persia (Iran), or the Blue Hurricanes (Honduras).

It's pretty interesting that Takamaru has gotten a bit of exposure. Is Nintendo planning something with him?
