Never really paid much attention to that video for the actual Smash terms, just looked at the buttons myself. I've found more useful to explain the controls than to just use a term that requires a direct definition compared to an easier said(and a little bit more direct to how it works by name alone) Forward Smash A. At least it gets the Button across and the direction pretty well. Worst you gotta explain is the Smash part, which is not that hard either. Smashing the control stick instead of Tilting it, basically. Also easy for everyone.
Also, Brawl getting rid of the two different kinds of trophies with exact names combined with me having reading those terms for a long time, well... I think it said Smash B for the Forward Side B or something. I really can't remember, making this confusion easier to get. I haven't looked at a Melee (Smash) Trophy for years, and barely looked at a Brawl trophy at all recently.

Shadow? That was a long time ago, to be fair, as Wander said. Basically, I'm pretty sure we're going to top 39 characters. As I pointed out a bit earlier, the interview is before Sakurai outright said Brawl's roster had 39 playable characters. So we don't even know if the interviewer thought he meant 35 at the time.
Basically, with all that information, there's really not much to take from there beyond Sakurai not wanting a massive roster, which makes sense.
Shadow?Going back to Palutena and Pit, I don't think Palutena would get the Centurions for a Final Smash because it would obviously be the Sacred Goddess Clobberlaser™ instead.
I could easily see her as being an anti-air fighter, since her most powerful attacks were pillars of light.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"I wouldn't mind Paluteba, but I would much prefer Medusa.
She can claw-teleport. She can punch hard enough to decapitate someone. She can decapitate herself to have her monstrous head terrorize her enemies. And she could probably do a Neck Lift for a grab, and have her snake-hair nibble on the enemy.
I have a message from another time...Female Big Goods have always appealed to me for some reason, so Palutena's got a special appeal to me, especially since it would be a pileup of said Big Goods (<3 Rosalina)
Heheh... okay, now I'm not so sore that Rosalina's in.

"So do Lumas. And I don't have to bring them back myself, either."

Pretty much, Nap. It also heavily reminded me of Dancing Blade, and it being 3 moves at once made me think it was actually a Special Move at the time. But as I said, it's not really that big of a deal.
I didn't even know that's the official term. Easy mistake to make and all. Happens.
Anyway, even so, Samus' Missiles are the exact reason why I always actually include what Button it used just to remove any confusion from others. No silly semantics or technicalities and all. Not really worth it, you know? It's easiest when you get your message across, even to those who don't know what a term's official definition is.(it does help to mention it was the official term, too, to prevent confusion)
