pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSIt's about Little Mac's Side B being able to use three different directional moves.

Shadow?Little Mac is Balroging so hard right now.
On a separate note: the body hook sounds like it's one of those "lots of damage / lots of hitstun" moves. Mac is really shaping up into the game's combo-heavy character.

I assume they all have the same startup, so I'm wondering if Little Mac can use Confusion Fu this way- tripping people up by constantly changing punches.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaEven though she's not my first choice, I wouldn't mind Palutena being playable. She had pretty cool-looking attacks in Uprising.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerThat's not how I read it.
When I refer to someone's neutral Smash attack, I say Forward Smash A instead, including with movesets. I've never used or heard of Side Smash being the official term till now. No, I didn't read even the article on Smashwiki about it literally till now. And even then, that particular still lists it as Forward Smash as the article name.
It's just a matter of semantics, and I had a different definition(that I knew of), that's all. Side Smash also has been applicable to how you can use some Forward B's too. Samus' Missiles are different if you Smash or just simply Tilt the stick, for instance. It's why I actually use the term Side B sometimes, or Smash B instead. Another thing is I thought directly of Dancing Blade when he described this move, and combined with my different knowledge, thought it was a B move. But eh, not really a big deal. Shadow?

Expecting something means that's his prediction, that's all. They're equivalent terms.
He expects it, due to watch Sakurai said, to be 35 playable characters.(Sakurai's message about there being 39 total playable characters in Brawl came out after this interview, to note). Note, that's his interpretation of the high amount. Sakurai speaks of 50 being a possible number he doesn't necessarily want to go to since he worries about balance.
He also goes on way later to say that Namco-Bandai might give him fresh ideas to help this.
Tl;dr: "I expect it to be 35 playable characters like Brawl had. But we'll see." is the message of the article.
@Doctrain: That too. Another interesting point is the 39 playable character thing. While the interviewer might've meant 35, Sakurai thinks 39 characters are playable in Brawl. So it's quite possible they're not even on the same wavelength during the interview when speaking. However, it makes sense to expect it since he's predicting it based upon the term "probably", which is a fair thing to say.
