One can always hope.
Personally I want it to be "Ms. Tetris" who is revealed, because, really, there's only one character she can be. Maaaaaybe two.
One can always hope.

1. comic was unfunny
2. He counts DK, Wario, and Yoshi as "Mario series" characters when all three of them represent their own franchises. Dk and Wario havn't been seen in any of the Mario games outside of spin offs (or the Mario vs Dk series) in years, and Yoshi coming back into the main Mario series is a fairly recent thing after he kinda disappeared from it for a while.
3. Counting Rosalina and Luma as one character (which we should, cause otherwise that means Pikmin has 6 reps counting each color of Pikmin), we have 5 Mario characters. The same amount that we had in Melee. The only difference here is Rosalina isn't a clone of Mario.
4. He mentions the issue with Nintendo and new franchises. The problem everyone who complains about it seems to miss however, is that people clamor for Nintendo to make a new franchise and claim it will save Nintendo, but when they do (like, oh say, the Wonderful 101), NOBODY buys it, the game rots into obscurity, and people go on complaining about it. If people really wanted new franchises from Nintendo, they would actually buy them when they do it.
5. He mentions wanting more Wario Ware characters. According to his logic, that would mean another Mario character. So I guess his argument is more "They shouldn't add Mario characters that I DON'T like!"
There's more I could mention, but those are the parts that stood out to me.
L Block will be revealed as a playable character and get a trailer. In the trailer, L Block gets knocked off the stage by Palutena, but then Hades rips through the screen and reveals that he's the real newcomer and L Block and Palutena aren't actually in the game, that was just to mess with people.
Sooo... I'll be honest, I don't understand the whole thing. Are you criticizing the argument because it's poorly expressed (By the way, I never understood how anyone could find drugs funny, but nevermind) or because it's negative?
Again, I'll be honest, for me it seems that nobody is allowed to express some negative feelings anymore. If someone's bothered by something, is he just supposed to take it and shut up? Maybe you'll disagree, but in some parts I trought the argument bring some valid points. I myself dosen't dislike anything about the character, but I feel like they could give her a rest, apparently she's being included in many games where theycould've given another character a chance instead.
Its not so much the argument being negative, as much as it is that it's misinformed. If he just didn't like Rosalina, that's fine. But trying to make some non-existant issue out of her inclusion seems really petty to me. Well, OK, that and the "Nintendo never makes new franchises" argument bugs the crap out of me, for reasons I stated above.
as for her appearing in games where other characters could have been in, that could really only be stated for 2 games: 3D World and Smash bros. The only other games she's been in are the Galaxy games, where she came from, and the last 2 and the upcoming Mario Kart games, which have FAR worse examples of roster padding (the babies, Dry Bowser, Queen Bee, Wiggler, etc) to even consider Rosalina a wasted slot.

Besides, in those two main games she's last appeared in she's brought in some unique element to the table (the spin attack in 3D World, and Puppet Fighter here). And seriously, having faulty arguments is one thing, but adding a bad comic to said arguments is just rubbing salt in your own wound.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."If wildly-requested characters like Mewtwo get in, they'll probably be the last ones revealed, like a week before release or so. Mewtwo in particular would probably get his own trailer like a Newcomer would.
I know for a fact that I'm going to get the 3DS version the moment it comes out. The Wii U version, though... I'm not sure. Especially since the Mayflash Gamecube-to-Classic Controller adapter is unreliable and I am not spending fifty bucks on a Wii U Pro Controller.

A lot of people (including me) strongly feel that she's just an overshilled Creator's Pet. If she actually had a bigger role story-wise to make her... not a Peach Pallete Swap, I'd be fine, but...

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerWonderful 101 Was a third party franchise
by Platinum Games, not a Nintendo franchise. Your point still stands, though: when Nintendo does put out a new series, people don't flock to it well. However, part of it can be the fault of Nintendo itself, for their business model and publicity. Wonderful 101 could possibly be used as an example of people not flocking to third party games, but apparently it was screwed by Nintendo too.

The Wonderful 101 was a Nintendo IP; Platinum Games developed it but Nintendo owns the IP.
