That said, I dunno. More retro game representation?
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYeah, he's possible. Doesn't feel like he's extremely important to Nintendo, though, but he fits all the Brawl criteria. Third Party, didn't originate from a Manga/Anime, has a Nintendo game appearance. Not sure if he's popular enough to warrant a place, but just his design alone is good. That type of staff looks like it could be quite fun.
Shadow?
Captain Rainbow (or as you might know him, non-specific action figure) is the protagonist of a 2008 wii game of the same name. It is about Captain Rainbow trying to make something of his life by being friends with discarded nintendo characters, most of which did not come out outside of Japan, much like Captain Rainbow itself.

nyo ho hoWe've got a page for him.
Far as I understand, he game involves an island where forgotten Nintendo characters are living in a sort of retirement.
I have a message from another time...@Pheer: We linked to the Captain Rainbow page several times already...

I think it's funny to ruin humor. Anti-Humor is my favorite kind of humor.
So, what are the chances exactly that Diddy and Dixie are actually a tag team and the Smash Staff is just doing a superb job at hiding it? Because I thought that was a cool idea...
Also, a bit late, but
to whoever hoped Baby Mario would accompany Yoshi this time. That would be awesome.

"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliterator
Diddy + Dixie: Tag Team Action(T.T.A.) = 0% Possibility...
But we've seen almost all of Diddy's special moves. We've seen the rocketbarrel, the peanut popgun, and we've seen him in close proximity to a banana peel, which suggests his Down B, if nothing move.
So that would place his side B as the only move I feel we haven't seen yet, which could have been replaced for a tag-in move. Doesn't seem likely to me.
I have a message from another time...

I posted on that Legends of Localization article that I'd expect the exact opposite to be true when/if Lip is confirmed as playable, where it's Japanese and a minority of Western fans that are excited while everyone else is all either "huh?" or "oh well, she looks fun enough".
Except with more butthurt whining about Sakurai not putting in Goku (who never had a ghost of a chance anyway...).
