Wario was also there for a Japanese pun, dude.
The same one, in fact.
Warui + Mario = Wario.
Warui + Luigi/Ruigi = Waluigi
Heck, Luigi was also there in service of a Japanese pun. His name sounds like the word for "similar".

I have a message from another time...About that discussion of R.O.B.'s chances of getting into Smash Bros. 4:
I'm just asking because, As You Know, Sakurai has that system where he announces a character when something related to that particular character is being released on the same day (Diddy Kong announced the same day as the NA and EU release of DKC: TF, King Dedede announced on the same day as the JP release of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, etc.) and I deduced that the days of the release of the NES, Stack-Up, and Gyromite (the R.O.B. games) are no go's (what with them being released in October and stuff). So...
Hmmm...
All right, based on the fact that NES Remix 2 is coming to JP on April 24 and to NA and EU the day after that.... I'm deducing that Sakurai will announce R.O.B. around that time.
Any thoughts?

I like Waluigi, but I feel he's better suited for Assist Trophy. For now, at least. He'd bring a lot to the table move-wise, but there's other Mario reps who should probably get in before him. Unless he were counted as a Wario rep, which would be kinda neat if not entirely accurate.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
We Are With You Zack Snyder
Also Mario wears Red and Luigi wears Green; red and green are contrasting colors.
Wario wears Yellow and Waluigi wears Purple; yellow and purple are contrasting colors.
I still think they need to have two more characters one that is similar to Mario and wears Blue and one that is similar to Luigi and wears Orange.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure![]()

Okay, I know you're still kinda sorta new to the forums, so general rule of thumb: don't play that trope straight on actual people. It's called As You Know because we already know.

One of the best things that could possibly happen to Waluigi is immigrating over to the Wario Ware franchise. Because at this point, he really isn't gonna get any bigger role in the Mario games beyond the party and sports ones.

I'd rather see Waluigi star alongside his bro/partner in crime/whatever in a Wario Land game first. Better to let him get on in some actual platforming action. But anyways.
Continuing that discussion about assist trophies though, I think Knuckle Joe would make a good fourth Kirby character. If Bandanna Dee doesn't make the cut, then that guy would be my second choice.

Eh.Knuckle Joe? I could go for Chilly I guess but I'd don't know if I'd really want a fourth Kirby character and am sure we could come up with something slightly more distinct if it came to it. Box Boxer and Iron mam are at least mini bosses.
Prince Fluff, I could see him even spinning off with the yarn thing.
Buldogue's lawyerI think Waluigi should be in a Wario Land game. Definitely. Wario Ware would be acceptable, though. Particularly, I'd like tosee him as a rival to Wario to contrast Luigi. Though, I'd be happy with just about anything, so long as he's sufficiently crazy.
Waluigi would make a good background character in the RPG line, too, but its unnecessary.

The thing about Dark Matter is its not a Sakurai creation, even though he has not been part of Kirby for sometime I doubt we will see much of it as long as he is head of Super Smash Bros. Otherwise, an amorphous blob of Dark Matter, based on their Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards appearance would be an awesome fearsomely approaching disaster type, bunching their eyeballs against the items they grab and such. They could even transition from "samurai" form to "petaled eyeball" for certain moves.
Still, Prince Fluff is the most I honestly expect. The Sakurai's cast is present and accounted for.

Buldogue's lawyer

His counterparts all have a name-design theme. Mario-M, Luigi-L, Wario-W, Waluigi...breaks that for a really bad Japanese pun? (sounding like evil twin) His antics can be funny at times but he has never came off as anything other than a space filler that could not be substituted with something more interesting, even in his home series. I think if there was ever a time to add him to a Mario platform game it would have 64 DS, that was about the only time I can think another Mario molded character, even a questionably conceived one, would have been welcome but it turned out well enough without him.
I think it is the same feeling about Yellow Toad and Blue Toad in New Super Mario Bros (so you want someone with about the same masss as Mario, but we know you could have come up with something better than the same model twice)
