I mean, he was kinda designed in an era where simplistic character design (which using only a single color certainly exemplifies) reigned supreme, so I'm not sure you can really knock him for that.
Either way, though, I personally always preferred playing Ms Pac Man (though maybe only because I'd played it more often as a kid) anyway. And lemme just say, Pac Man looks effing creepy with those glassy blue eyes.
If he's in, I'd love it if his Final Smash turned him into 8-bit (is that what the arcade game would be considered?) Pac-Man while he does his attack, complete with the power pellet powerup sound effect.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.@Rinsankajugin Not true—I didn't like him in there either.
And I knew what it was—he was so grizzled and realistic in a game full of colorful, heroic, and blobby characters.
And his moveset was just not Super Smash Bros-ey.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI don't think Snake is very realistic at all. He's probably the most serious character on the roster save for maybe Samus, but he's from a series that is very bizarre and humorous.
The man hides in cardboard boxes.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Maybe his moveset is a little out of place, but remember that part of the Metal Gear series' charm is Snake's uncanny ability to remain straight-faced with so many odd things happening around him.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSAnd yet Snake's a bit of an oddball himself despite trying to be serious, no? Granted, I haven't played the series.
I do know that his "father" eats everything from glowing mushrooms to secondhand-cannibalism-inducing vultures to snakes to an old man's pet parrot, though, and wears an alligator hat.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Big Boss is a total Cloud Cuckoolander, even for a little bit after Metal Gear Solid 3 (Peace Walker has some seriously funny moments), but Snake himself is a lot less so. The Comically Serious isn't that far off.

Okay, this is interesting.
No longer any of this infinite jabs in Brawl. This forces a finishing move now. I like, since that was a huge issue with some characters(like Meta Knight).
Oh, see, the phrasing there made it seem like it was a response to something, so the joke was kinda obscured by bad communication there.
Fighter Kirby has a bunch of moves that combo off of those jabs throughout most of the games he's in. It won't be that hard to come up with something.
And if nothing else, at least Ike and Snake (assuming they're coming back) will no longer be special snowflakes with their own launching jabs.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyBroken? I'll give you maybe Meta Knight (though I've never been convinced that he's nearly as broken as people claim), but what about with, say, Kirby, whose jabs do very little damage and is not something through which you would be easily combo'd?
(Besides, the animation for it is adorable, and it'd be a shame to lose that...)
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. It's a matter of fairness. Nerfing only Meta Knight with that doesn't help.
All of those tons of infinite jabs destroy slower characters. Removing these further balances the game as a whole. Plus, Namco-Bandai is helping make it. This isn't too surprising of a change at all(some of their games have combos with finishing moves).
