I'm not sure... maybe we could use the Ev-O-Meter idea of yours, and whatever color fills it up the most determines your evolution?

Every new match. On death would make it a little bit tedious to keep getting your preferred Eeveelution.

Getting KO'd would build up a certain evolution.
Shame we don't have a ghost type eeveelution.
BTW, Dunsparce has a huge learnpool, yes? Instead of Togepi or clefairy with Metronome, just make Dunsparce pop out of a ball and give it a huge list of moves it picks randomly from each time.

Quite a bit, actually.
- It's Namco Bandai, who are helping to make the new Smash Bros. game
- It had a tie in game which may have some moves that Pac-Man can use
- It's gearing up for the release of a Pac-Man series next month
- It's some synergy between 3rd party companies who have a stake in the new Smash game
- Nintendo seems to like making character announcements in conjunction with other events in the same work
...Sorry. I mean that Pac-Man may be playable. We may find out when that series releases.
So if the boxing stage is only Mac themed when he's there, does that then make him the "home" fighter? I thought home-field advantage wasn't really a thing in boxing!

No, not really.
It's advertising for their own game/series, so it's not a big deal. It really doesn't have to do anything with SSB at all.
Looking way too much into it. We always knew Pac Man had a fairly decent chance anyway.

Shadow?Honestly, for all the people who say Pac-Man has a chance... really, most of his games that try giving him moves besides navigating a maze, avoiding ghosts, and eating stuff, tend to not do very well.
And if he gets in, I... admit I would not actually be too excited. Because there are characters with much more interesting potential movesets.''
Right, Pac-Man's had some action games in the past (the World series, the game based off of ...and the Ghostly Adventures) but they're hardly the ones everyone knows him for.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSConsidering that a Super Smash Bros appearance is seemingly reserved for characters with an insane amount of mainstream recognition, I don't think Nintendo or Namco will waste that sort of thing on anyone but Pac Man (or Heihachi Mishima for Namco solely, but Nintendo would likely be against that).

Not new. It's just been awhile.
I have a message from another time...
