Or if that's an alternate costume. Was never confirmed, annoyingly enough.
@Cassidy: People don't just suddenly agree with everything right away. We do things here by consensus. Once the game comes out, and we find out if there are any alternate costumes that change one's sex(or earlier if Sakurai reveals those types of costumes), then we can decide on how we should write the sexes on the page, respectively.
Please be patient.
Shadow? All the characters are voiced, really. Setting aside any characters with actual lines, there's sill stuff like grunts when attacking, hit, or KO'd.
edit:
On the costume. I'm not saying it's impossible that the male Wii Fit Trainer seen in that screenshot was actually an Assist Trophy or stage element. I'm just saying I find that to be a vastly less likely explanation for what we see in that screenshot.

I have a message from another time...Honest question, Irene. Which explanation for that male Wii Fit Trainer screenshot do you think is true? You play the devil's advocate so often and so thoroughly that I honestly can't tell.

I dunno. I heard that once, and then later I heard differently. Like, it depends on how you interpret his tone?

I have a message from another time...The thing was that in Melee, Marth's personality was supposed to be that of an Attention Whore? Having not played Fire Emblem, I don't know how accurate that is to his original series incarnation.
Also, Ike's personality was different too?
I miss Roy.

Depends on the interpretation of that line, I think.
"Everyone, watch me!" could be attention whore-ish, but it could also be interpreted as a call to his friends to rally with him, among other possibilities.
There's also "Today, I survived.", which amusingly contrasts with the in-battle line "I cannot lose!"

I have a message from another time...I don't take speculation as blatant facts. Until a confirmation(and with exact context) comes up, I look at all possibilities.
As for Marth, I like he's an Attention Whore. Considering he's often in the high tiers, it just happens to fit.
Male Wii Fit Trainer could be an Assist Trophy. He didn't mention Starfy's status either(assumed to be an Assist Trophy again since he didn't get a character page right away). Keep in mind I do lean towards it being one, but it's still not confirmed or a fact. Since he kind of failed to even mention the existence of the costume as is. He just talked about the stage, and that's it. Very odd to ignore that.

Shadow? But I'm getting away from my original question. Thank you for giving me your opinion on the matter, Irene, surrounding rhetoric aside. Playing the devil's advocate is a useful tool, but sometimes it makes me unsure of what one's position actually is.

I have a message from another time...Unlikely or likely, it's not confirmation of a costume. Since he failed to mention the costume in any way.
I was thinking of another picture at the time when I said that, mind you.
Anyway, the whole point is that it's not confirmation at all. It's fine if you believe that, to each their own. As long as these speculative things stay off the main Wiki Pages themselves, there's no big deal. We don't put that kind of speculation anywhere but WMG, respectively.
Shadow?...Sometimes, this thread feels like a Phoenix Wright trial.
But seriously, Irene. The non-conclusive nature of this is well-known; I really only wanted to know which way you personally leaned for it, outside of the rhetoric about knowing for certain being an impossibility.

I have a message from another time...

of course, even characters who do talk in their games can tend to be silent in Smash.
...though, that's not usually the case with Fire Emblem characters in Smash.
But I don't think two sets of voice acting would be all that difficult. You'd need that even if all Robin had was Voice Grunts, anyway.
