Each level in Donkey Kong. The first (and the one most people think of [1]
) is called 25m. The second stage (this
) is 50m. The third stage (the one used in Brawl) is 75m. And the last stage
is 100m.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I think 75m works the best out of the four. 25m is just a stack of platforms, 50m is rather messy and busy, and 100m is a slightly less dense stack of platforms. 75m is at least a bit varied.
That being said, I don't think any of them really work well as stages. 75m is one of my least favorite stages to play on.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I liked 75M, though the ladder thing usually takes awhile to get used to if I have not played in awhile. The only thing I really don't like about it is that you get damaged by touching Donkey Kong, where as getting within touching distance of him caused him to flee in the arcade game.
That is probably what Smash as a whole would be like if its platforming was based on Donkey Kong or Mario instead of Kirby. Well, there would probably be a run button too, thus less loss of momentum between jumps.
Buldogue's lawyer100m as well, which, now that I think about it, may have made Donkey Kong one of the very first final bosses in gaming.
You know what's funny about video game bosses?
A lot of them aren't really in charge of anything. They're just really big or really strong and they come after you fight all the other smaller weaker enemies who may be on the same level business-wise.
Donkey Kong's a boss if he's in charge of that high rise or all those barrels...but enemies like Galleom? What's he in charge of except big feet.
I find that
75m provides the lowest amount of enjoyable fighting surface out of all of them. it seems like a clustermess, unfortunately. I do tend to prefer somewhat simpler stages, or stages that can be navigated faster, like Corneria and Hyrule Temple.
I'm with Wander on this one. It might've been neat for a Target Test(or race to the finish), but as an actual course to fight on, it's just horrid.
I'd take something like 50m if it was mostly just platforms to fight on. Hanenbow is way more accessible too.
I mean, the design is cool, and I like "Giant" Donkey Kong reappearing, but still. Mario Bros. is also a better course to fight on as well. This one is pure chaos, to the point that you might as well let the computers kill themselves in Single Player Mode(and in fact the only part other than the nostalgia I like).
Shadow?Mario Bros. always felt more like a minigame/bonus stage than anything.
Not that it's a bad thing, mind you.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaYou think Ridley could work as a playable character at 100% full size? (Ridley in Zero Mission
◊)
I've realized Brawl!Ridley's size is closer to Meta Ridley in size.
As far as keeping Ridley full-sized, I think a Super Metroid-sized Ridley would work. Hunched over and all.

In Donkey Kong, they were the names of the levels you jumped through to get to Pauline. The first level was 25m, the second was 50, the third was 75m...
Because you were climbing up a building.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay
