That's what we have this for, though.

Part of me thinks that might be part of why we're told to knock off the sarcasm- we forget the pothole and it makes it harder for the outsider to discern sarcasm from joking mode.

Annnnnnnyways, I feel like I'm alone on liking Diddy's stretchiness. It makes sense for a spider monkey to have long arms.waii

(And yes, I'm pretty sure Diddy is a spider monkey. He has a tail, see? Chimps (such as Dixie) don't have tails.)

Shulk's blade is also made of energy that can extend (Monado Buster), fling waves (Purge), draw in energy (Eater), create wind (Cyclone), create barriers (Shield, Armour), and improve abilities (Enchant, Speed).

Plus the vision thing.

I have a message from another time...

Huh. Sounds like Shulk would be fun to play as.

[up][up]Yeah, Lanky is cool.

[up][up][up]I like it too, it's pretty neat.

The problem with potholing to Joking Mode is that it undermines any humor. If you have to explain the joke, there is no joke.

Do you think we'll see a DK stage any time soon?

I'd be surprised if we didn't get something from Tropical Freeze.

I wouldn't be that surprised if we didn't. Super Mario Galaxy wasn't referenced in Brawl despite coming out reasonably ahead of time. I guess it depends on how far into development SSB 4 is, and how many resources from Tropical Freeze Nintendo was able to access ahead of time.

That being said, if we get a Tropical Freeze stage, while it'd probably be one of the eponymous icy stages, I wouldn't mind having something from World 2 or 3. Dem alps and savannas.

I missed last page's Sheik discussion, but a random idea: Sheik, with a new costume design in the style of Skyward Sword Impa.

[up][up][up]Not only Galaxy, but Corruption was neglected as well. As were Geist and Eternal Darkness. I suppose it's because Brawl's primary focus was representing the GCN/GBA era.

[up]Based on the timing of Brawl's release they might not have had time to add that stuff. It was probably too far into development by the time those games came out.

We could certainly see a "Returns" stage, though. The Golden Temple sticks in my mind.

A Mario vs Donkey Kong stage would be a good DK stage for the 3DS version.

Which one, though? The first game that plays like Donkey Kong '94, or the puzzle games with the Minis?

Or both?

I have to wonder why there isn't a stage that's just the board from the original Donkey Kong.

Didn't Brawl have one of those? The stage where you would definitely die if you went even vaguely close to DK?

75m?

Only if he was standing in the foreground. And/or throwing those big springs.

I never could guess what you'd need those for on a giant unbuilt construction project.

Eh, it's a bit of an awkward stage to navigate if you're in the main area of the stage itself, and most fights usually end up taking place either on the very right edge of the stage/screen (by proxy) or on the top [of the screen] where DK is, only soon to move to the right when he starts chucking springs at you. It's interesting in concept, though, and it's not terrible.

Personally, I'd just prefer a 25m stage.

75m was the weirdest stage ever. Nice and big, but it seemed so random.

25m would have made more sense, being classic and firstly, but it's pretty constricted.
