No, no, no. Jiggs is integral to Smash at this point and has some actual relevancy in the games still. If they actually do ever replace Jiggs, which they won't, I'd rather it go to a gen which hasn't had a rep yet. Gardevoir, Deoxys, Zoroark, Genesect, Aegislash, anything that's not from gen 1.

Jigglypuff actually has a unique moveset. I can't think of anything Meowth could do that would be more interesting.

Her moves are pretty similar to Kirby's. And I say this someone who's mained Kirby since 64, and also played Jigglypuff a lot.

So, I pretty much only use Kirby's suction ability and... down-B, I think?

And Jigglypuff I use Sing and Rest. So they're completely different when I use them.

Just replace her with Sylveon. They're both pink Fairy type Pokemon.

Except does Sylveon use Sing, Rest or Rollout?

I really hope we don't have to have another round of "Sylveon and no other Eeveelution because I said so".

Short answer, no.

Long answer, I would rather he/she/it replace Lucario but I would not be completely against Jigglypuff's replacement. Lucario was the only one I really wanted gone but would rather it be replaced by another monster from the first numbered higher than 150. Unpleasable Fanbase? Maybe Lucario more like the way it actually is in the games (make it growl like the metal canine is instead of giving it human grunts and speach have it use those spikes on its body instead of tai chi, give it a gimmick based on abilities it actually has) or choose another (Scizor, Tyranitar, Metagross, Crustle, Garbodor, Accelgor, Hydreigon, Malamar, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Goodra)

Lucario should stay. It's popular and heavily advertised, plus it just fits Smash so well. Sure I'd love stuff like Tyranitar, Hydreigon, or Aegislash, but they're tougher to figure out. Not impossible, but tougher. As a bipedal fighting type, Lucario is a natural fit.

No, that pose looks pretty different from Samus's back-air spin kick.

Hmm, you think Jigglypuff should be replaced by Meowth?

No. I'd rather Meowth take a separate slot than serve as a replacement character.

No, I mean it's an entirely different pose. Her back air had her sort of twisting around to look backwards as she performed the kick, and there's motion lines here that make it look like an air dash, besides.

Isn't Jigglypuff an it? The game refers to it as genderless.

It depends on the individual. Jigglypuff is not a species with no sex (like Magnemite) or unknown sex (like Mewtwo).

You're 3 times as likely to find a female Jigglypuff than a male one, though, so "she" is a fairly safe bet.

Jigglypuff are gendered, and her alternates are all distinctly feminine.

I think the "Lucario got in, therefore Mewtwo can't!" arguement is stupid. Does anybody remember that Mewtwo was one of the least played characters before he got the axe?

Jinx: Like I said before, it's because of nostalgia and retroactive praise why they want it back. =/

And by the way, when I said JP was referred to as genderless, it's because of Smash Bros, not Pokémon.

EDIT: In fact, all Pokémon in Smash are spoken of as genderless.

It does kind of look like it when you take into account the new "air slash" aesthetic this game has.

So maybe I am just the weird one, but I would rather the characters behave the way they do in their home series. The Ice Climbers don't have much to work with so I get giving them new stuff but Smash Bros Lucario simply contradicts his Diamond and Pearl portrayal for no good reason. His move set and general mannerism seem more appropriate for Medicham. I would rather they just make a grunting tai chi fighter than derail a character into one.
