Oh my God, why did they give him fingernails. That's creeping me out. And now I'm thinking of that scene
from Juno.
I"m not surprised to see him back, but I just can't help: I can't stand Diddy. I don't know, but for some reasons every of his actions annoy me. And something about his design looks wrong to me. I can't find him cute, nor cool, nor anything else.
I'm sorry if this is kind of an unecessary rant, but by god he's actually creeping me out. Maybe it's the nail, I don't know.
okay.
◊ so, as we can see here, banana peels still exist, Diddy presumably still has them as his down-B, and Fox is slipping on one.
So now we can definitely say that random tripping is gone. The only other meaning of that "vague" answer Sakurai gave is impossible.
I have a message from another time...Not... too thrilled Diddy is in, but nothing I could ever do about it in the first place.
All that image tells us is that the banana peels are back. Does it necessarily mean that Diddy's Down-Special from Brawl is returning? Sure, it seems likely to be the case, but there could yet be a partner gimmick with Dixie that they're not showing yet... Well, a guy can hope.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."So that ship won't get put over? Not enough clearance?
Kinda funny that this just came out a week ago
from someone who hadn't been active in over a year (and who I just found out about recently).
Hmm...Some good ships with unconfirmed characters.
- Lip and Pit. Their name sounds similar, one's a fairy and one's a angel (both similar things), and both are kids (or least look like it). Perfect.
- Medusa and Peach. Their orientations are compatible, and they say opposites attract. And they're certainly opposites, in both personality and colour scheme.
- Jill Dozer and Kumatora. Both are tomboyish and have pink hair, so...
- Rosalina and Krystal. Umm...Both are tall and use magic?

It didn't bother me most of the either, really.
Once in a blue moon it hurt me, but often helped me too.
I'd rather just make it a toggable option in the main menu(like Language was) instead. That way people can have some challenge while playing Single Player. Albeit, yes, it's a small issue in that mode, namely the Multi-Man Brawl's. And once in a while the other ones. But eh, fun during multiplayer(save tournaments, sometimes).
Shadow?Yeah. I find it really funny sometimes, especially during matches.
It coming up when you never want it to is the problem. Maybe a small Options Menu that lets you toggle when it can happen, not counting item type(or moveset type in the case of Diddy Kong's and other possible ones if they come up, like Link's Sword Cutter [Down A]).

What other possible conclusion is there to that "vague" statement? He answered yes to a question as to whether he removed tripping. There were two kids of tripping in Brawl; item-based and random. We can see the item-based tripping at work here. So unless Sakurai was lying or terribly mistranslated, I don't see any other conclusion

I have a message from another time...

I'm glad they didn't use Returns' redesign for the rocketbarrels. It looks a lot more boring.
