Villager's hat makes a whole lotta sense.
Jury's still out on Mega Man. Which is funny, because we thought his hat would be obvious.
We've been over this before. The consumer is the second party. The maker who sells to the consumer is the first party. When another maker makes something for someone else, who then sell to the consumer, that is the third party. Why do you all insist on making this more complicated than it is?
Buldogue's lawyer@IAT: I don't think you understand how gaming terminology - as used by nearly every gaming news site or fan site - functions. It can be different from normal usage simply because it's under specific circumstances. Just like how "theory" has nearly opposite meanings, depending on the context or who's speaking.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Thread hopping to say I still want Muddy Mole in there as was apparently almost a thing in Brawl. And I guess it's raining on folks parades somewhat, but we've already got close to half a dozen swords/bladed weapon users in the game. What's with all the Fire Emblem character suggestions?
Fire Emblem's a big series now (at least where I live) and they have a few fun characters that could be added. Plus, I personally find it rather unlikely Ike's coming back, and sword users are always fun.
Of course, Anna could potentially work as a non-sword Fire Emblem rep...
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliteratorIIRC, one of the Fire Emblem requests (Avatar) isn't a sword user.

The Fire Emblem character I most want is Nephenee and she doesn't use swords I think someone that uses a spear could be good; they do beat sword users in universe.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI wouldn't mind Robin making use of a stance system to switch between lances, swords and axes - lances having the greatest range and the least power, and axes the inverse. As most of their smash attacks would use tomes, the weapons' differences would mainly show in the specials, where an Einherjar who uses that weapon type would be summoned and strike alongside them.
...Say guys, with Shin Megami Tensei IV being a 3DS exclusive, that got me thinking; which Megami Tensei character would fit in Smash Bros.?
Other than Narukami Yu of Persona 4 (obvious choice being the famous one right now), who else?
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.

I don't think anybody from Persona would in the game since that series is Playstation only.
I think maybe someone from SMTIV since Nintendo did publish it in some regions; Nintendo and ATLUS are teaming up for SMT X Fire Emblem.
I do think maybe Jack Frost he is ATLUS' mascot.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAt least no one suggested Gheb to be in. ...Oh God, I just it off, didn't I?
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"
Get out.
More seriously, my Fire Emblem character of choice would be Hector. Because axes. And jumping around.
My Awakening character of choice would be either Robin or Anna, but I would take Hector over either of them.
poor Jugdral
As for Megaten, if it came down to choice, the Demi-fiend, but I know that's not happening. So Flynn.

Level 5 could make games for other consoles but they would still be considered "2nd party" if they are making a game that is owned by a 1st party developer.
The Professor Layton IP isn't owned by Nintendo so it isn't "2nd party." Nintendo doesn't use the term 2nd party so to them if they own the IP it is automatically 1st party even if the developer is a 3rd party.
