The way I see it, and how the guys over at Gamexplain saw it too, that KO bar charges up as Mac attacks, and might deplenish as he gets hit like it does in Super Punch Out. That, and the fact that it look like it needs to charge up at least a little before hitting, might be good enough to keep the one hit KO from getting too OP.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."It didn't deplenish while he got hit during that close-up on the meter. It was still charging.

Yeah, they definitely messed around with the times during that zoom in. Also, he only got hit once by a rather weak attack in the trailer, it probably takes something more than a cherry tap to lower the bar.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Remember that Mac has armor during that punch move. It's possible that it increases only when Mac flinches.
Okay, so Diddy Kong wasn't announced on the day of the Japanese release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze...
So...
Anyone want to bet that he'll be announced on the day of the US release of DKC: TF?
Well, let's see...we'll probably get Yoshi next month for the release of Yoshi's New Island...and perhaps Wario for the release of Mario Kart 8 in May...but there aren't any other upcoming release dates related to Smash Bros characters that we know of. So that leaves a lot of room for random character reveals like Marth.

Welcome to th:|There's also Pokemon Trozei in March, for what it's worth.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyHmmm...also, if they're taking anniversaries into account for revealing new characters, there's April for a Fire Emblem character (so...probably Chrom) and August for Golden Sun...
Welcome to th:|They probably haven't figured him out yet. In 64, he had recovery problems. In Melee, they improved his air game, and slightly his recovery. In Brawl, they highly improved his recovery, but made his Egg Throw far weaker in return.
Also, he lost his Flutter Kick power from 64 in Melee/Brawl. It's possible they're trying to balance these two major factors out(since they're pretty huge points in his metagame). The Flutter Kick was his best damage creator, and his Egg Throw was highly important in camp play, and now was the key to his recovery.
Or he's waiting on a better date. Or all of the above?
Shadow?New Namco character suggestion: Seto.
only about 25% serious. And please, no spoilers; I've only just begun playing it.
I have a message from another time...I don't know why everyone says "Little Mack game breaker" like its a bad thing. It'd be a refreshing change from the likes of Pikachu, Fox and Meta Knight. Humanity Is Superior for a change.
I don't get why people think Namco is going to make balanced roster either. They are the company that made Tekken 4 Jin, one of the most unbalanced fighting game characters since Akuma, he makes Meta Knight, who mainly relies heavily on spamming and glitches, look reasonable. They promised "perfect balance in Soul Calibur II and then put Necrid in the game. They made Jinpachi Mishima, who suffered from a case of SNK Boss Syndrome so sever he could be rendered unbeatable if the CPU so chose, regardless of difficulty setting.
Buldogue's lawyerGuys. We can't call a character broken based off of 2 minutes of screentime and a few screenshots. Trailers always show off a character's strengths so they look broken—doesn't mean they actually are. There's a reason the Metagame is a thing.

I knew everyone in Melee except the Ice Climbers, Marth, Roy and Mr. Game&Watch. I should have recognized Game&Watch, even more so than I should have recognized Samus since I did play those things I did not make the connection. Knew everyone in Brawl. Probably would not immediately pick up on Misfit if I had jumped straight in without watching any trailers but I have, so...(my mom has Wii Fit, another of those I watched but did not play)
