Sakurai has given out a lot of hints to a secret character throughout the months, and this secret character is Kevin Keene, also known as Captain N. Here are the hints dropped:
- Both the 3DS and the Wii U use batteries. The NES controller of Captain N has limited energy to perform actions.
- Both Pit and Samus were at some point in time members of the N-team (although Pit was misnamed as Kid Icarus).
- The very first trailer shows us Mario jumping from the 3DS version to the Wii U version, so basically he's jumping from game to game. Captain N is known for jumping really high.
- One of the new stages on the Wii U version is the boxing ring. At the beginning of the first episode, Kevin Keene is seen playing Punch-Out!!
- We're already shown three Zelda stages. It's a known fact that Kevin Keene is a huge fan of Link. On top of that, Toon Link has been announced pretty early.
- Mega Man was also a member of the N-team.
- Kevin Keene is a terrific athlete. He wears an N on his varsity jacket, which means he's really good at swimming, and we all know how healthy sports is. Wii Fit Trainer is all about health.
- Captain Olimar is in the game, and no doubt Captain Falcon will also be in the game. Both call themselves captain, so unless they are going to add Captain Rainbow, Captain America or Captain Lou Albano, I'd say Captain N is a good choice for a third captain.
- Both Mario and Luigi use warp pipes to travel around. On certain stages of the first Super Mario Bros. you have warp zones. In Captain N: The Game Master, you had Ultimate Warp Zones. Ultimate is also in the name of a famous Marvel brand of comic series. There is a Captain N comic book out there. You do the math.
- Pit is in the game. Pit is associated with Palutena. Palutena in her original design looked a lot like Princess Lana. Lana is also the name of a Superman character. Superman is a comic book character. There is a Captain N comic book out there. You do the math.
- The
blasterray gun now has a redesign, so that it doesn't look like a gun anymore. This could mean that someone with a Nintendo Zapper could easily get added, because the gun doesn't look like ablasterray gun. And guess who happens to have a Zapper? Exactly. - I say it again, Toon Link. As in, TOON. Captain N: The Game Master was a cartoon show.
- It appears that Ness is on the Nintendogs stage television screen. Ness looks a lot like Ninten. Ninten obviously is derived from Nintendo. Nintendo starts with an N. There is an N in Kevin. Kevin Keene's Videoland name is Captain N. You do the math.
Tell me if I missed anything.

Signatures are for lamers. If I'm correct, we should get the announcement of Diddy Kong in Smash Bros. 4 sometime this week to coincide with the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze in Japan.
Fingers crossed.
If Kevin Keene joins the Sm... Br... battle? I will order a Wii U first thing next Christmas.
Because that will be the most amazing news ever.
DE-REZZING people? Trolling them with 90s gamer swag? What would his Final Smash even be?
I mean, Kevin Keene is the Game Master. He's automatically a tier above EVERYONE in this game because they're all Nintendo games, games he's played before and beaten, other than Sonic and Megaman perhaps.
He has a belt that can PAUSE the game.
Though, this would make him rather broken. Hm. Assist Trophy then.

Ah, Captain N. Such an awesome concept that could've only come out of 90's insanity. Good times.
So, pic of the day is a dog in front of the TV. So basically every time my dog isn't passed out.
..........fuck it, bored now.
When the stage based on Super Mario Galaxy fails to load, a stage based on Gravity takes its place!
Alfonso Cuaron: "Leave it to me!"

When DJ Jazzy Jeff joins the rap battle, Will Smith's other friend takes his place at the turntables!

So this Alfonzo meme originated from a case of The Dev Team Thinks of Everything?
Ok, I can deal with that.
In all seriousness, I don't think a trophy dedicated to the man would be unwarranted.

And the TV is showing three dogs, two of which are wearing plumber hats, pawing at the screen being trapped inside.
Sakurai, part of me thinks you've lost it. But you lost it a long time ago.
