Yeah, I don't like how Melee feels like everyone is fighting on a neutron star. And Yoshi looked weird (I like that Brawl has Yoshi standing more upright, rather than looking like he has an invisible rider), but Bowser looked like some demented chicken dragon in Melee. Brawl's at least looked more like regular Bowser, even if he still hunched too much and slid across the ground as the Bowsermobile.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Mew is female because it gave birth (or so its said). If being small cute and pink made one female then Kirby and Birdo would be too.
Edit: hey, you know who would really be a better Pokemon than Mewtwo? One no one can make the asinine "not popular enough" argument for? Mew! Every TM, every HM, the most tutors, the special moves from the Orre games and transform.

Buldogue's lawyerI tend to refer to Pokemon as "she" or "he" rather than "it", even if they are genderless. I don't feel confortable calling them "it", since I've always assumed it = thing.

Yeah, Melee Yoshi's eyes are kinda weird. I also don't like how wide Fox's face and mouth are in Melee, though it was based on his fairly primitive 64 design so it's understandable.
I just use "it", I hate gendered pronouns especially when applied to genderless or nonspecific entities.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Guess it's a language thing then. In Spanish there's pretty much no such a thing as a neutral gendered pronoun, and perfectly neutral nouns are not common. And even when you do use them, adjectives and verbs will still screw you over since they are also assigned a gender.
This makes for some weird stuff in Pokemon localizations when it says a female Pokemon has been he-debilitated.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Yeah, I don't like that about the Romance languages.
And English isn't a Romance language. It's a Germanic language.
Anyway, I wonder what the update one hour from now will be. I'll need to sleep before then, but I'll check first thing in the morning. I feel like we'll get something like a new stage or assist trophy, since the only real update we had this week was Monday's peculiar singleplayer screenshot.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! When I played Melee, it was after trying Brawl and years after I last played Melee. It felt simultaneous more slippery (it was easy to accidentally run off the stage as Fox or C. Falcon) and stiffer (when performing attacks and specials). I think the lack of buffering was responsible for the latter.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"I played Melee nonstop over Christmas break, then got back to school and returned to Brawl. It was pretty hard to get used to. Brawl felt super slow. But I can't tell you how much I like that Brawl lets you grab onto a stage backward.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]English is derived from German, like Swedish and Danish. Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese are derived from Latin. German and Latin are both Indo European Languages though, so it all goes back to Sanskrit.
Anyway, I like Brawl more than Melee, just as I ultimate liked Melee more than the original, but just as the original had some touches that I am glad came back for Brawl, Melee has some things I missed and mainly that is speed. I Brawl could play virtually identical to me otherwise, I just want a faster game. (Not that there are not other improvements I would not suggest, just that is the only thing I miss from Melee)
The original, well, I liked entrances. Call me petty. I liked that everyone's shield did not double as a reflector. Call me casual. I liked that projectiles overall seemed more effective. Call me a spammer. I liked that there were fewer "plain" stages (fountain of dreams, battle field, final destination and temple was a bit too high a ratio of boring). I did not think the music sounded as good as it did in the original, nor did I feel there was enough of it from Nintendo's library(problem with both till Brawl). I liked that none of the characters felt nearly as cloned (Luigi had much different B moves effects from Mario than Marth and Roy did). Brawl fixed all that and more in my eyes.
Buldogue's lawyerApparently if Toon Link is a fighter on the Spirit Tracks stage, Alfonso drives the train instead.

...Ridley is going to be a playable character in the game, and he'll be voiced by slowbeef.

Yeah, same here. I found Melee tons of fun, but the way the characters felt like they were fighting in freaking Jupiter kind of rubbed me the wrong way. And the graphics... Does anyone else think that Yoshi looked ultra-weird in Melee?
