Assuming it's an actual leak and not, you know, not, it'd lend more credence to this post
(although not much; the Rool described in that post is a cheap-ass motherfucker, especially his Final Smash, and I doubt Sakurai would let a broken character like that in the game).
Of course, she could still be an assist trophy...

pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSedit: disregard
Palutena's model looks a lot smoother and less jagged than Mario's in the screencap where they're standing together. More evidence for the pictures being faked, I suppose?
(Plus that halo would get awfully distracting if it was a permanent thing.)

Anyway, really liking today's pick. Ability to stop people from edgeguarding? Sounds neat.

So... Link is grabbing the edge and preventing Mario from doing so.
How is that any different from edge hogging? Even if Mario was the one intentionally jumping down, and Link was the one trying to recover, it still, in mechanics terms, comes down to "Mario can't grab thr ledge because Link already has grabbed it."
I have a message from another time...No, not hit them while they're on the ledge.
It used to be:
- Mario is on the ledge.
- Link gets to a point where he can normally grab the ledge.
- Link falls because Mario is already on the ledge and only one person is allowed on the ledge.
Now it's:
- Mario's on the ledge.
- Link gets to the point where he can grab the ledge.
- Mario is now off the ledge because Link "stole" the ledge from him.

Probably just an assist trophy. We've only seen her in two poses, meaning that she very well could just do one thing before disappearing.
