I'd like an Adventure Mode closer to SSE in terms of gameplay - that is, with lengthier, standalone levels each with their own secrets and such. Since we aren't getting a story, they could just have each level be based on one of the series represented, with each taking a cue from the gameplay of that series. So we could get platforming-focused Mario and Donkey Kong levels, exploration-focused Zelda and Metroid levels, combat-focused Kid Icarus and Pokemon levels, etc.
...Still, I don't have a whole lot of hope for something this in-depth. Even if they do have a large adventure mode, it'll probably be exclusive to the 3DS version. Eh.

Welcome to th:|What.
Anyway, I wouldn't want Superstar Ultra to have been made by someone else, since a lot of good things have come from it. New characters like Bandana Dee, Galacta Knight, and Dedede's Masked mode, Ex modes with with souped up bosses that get their own arena, the final boss getting a secret soul form, and re-popularizing Superstars style of powerups in general. Maybe it would have been nice to have a bunch of original bosses (though I honestly doubt they'd redo Milky Way Wishes so drastically), but what we got ended up improving the games that came afterwards so I'm happy with it.
Bandana Dee technically already existed...
And indeed, it brought back the EX Mode style of the very first game, as well as making each ability feel like it's own character rather than a simple attack. For that I'm thankful.
I have a feeling that the main gameplay is going to be better than Brawl's, but the singleplayer content is going to be disappointing.
Interesting to think that, while Brawl vastly increased the scale of Adventure Mode, added Boss Battles to Stadium Mode, and added Two-Player Events, the total amount of modes was the same as Melee's, though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!About bosses:
Would anyone object to someone like...Hades as a boss?

I wanted Hades as the main antagonist of the adventure mode, but now that we're getting a gimped adventure mode I kinda would prefer they save him for the inevitable SSB 5.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think (or at least hope) that they're just holding back on telling us about a lot of the new things they're planning. Sakurai talked a lot about wanting the 3DS version to be different from the conventional Smash Bros experience and wanting a significant element of connectivity between the two, but we haven't seen anything outside of basic battling...my guess would be they're saving that stuff for the next E3 or something.

Welcome to th:|It's kind of funny how Subspace Emissary was once one of the big complaints about Brawl, and is now the thing everyone misses. ^_^;
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI'd rather see The Great Maze implemented as its own thing, dominating the adventure mode similar to the "Great Cave Adventure" from Kirby Super Star, as an almost-but-not-quite Metroidvania, with platforming and random fights against other characters and bosses, maybe take the maze and give each character their own "story?"
One thing I wish Smash Bros aped more from other fighting games is a Rivals concept. Villager and Rosalina don't get along. Why? Well, let's just find out.

It would probably help if so many people didn't insist on picking up sexist implications wherever they can find them not matter how flimsy an excuse they have.
