I had to look up Wikipedia to find that G and PG are video game ratings in Australia.

I know it's just a pipe dream, but after seeing how expressive Dedede is, you know who I'd really like to be expressive in Smash 4? Yoshi.

Yoshi always has the same blank happy expression. I think it'd be really cool if they made him more expressive like in Yoshi's Island. Like how when he flutter jumps he grits his teeth and looks like he's struggling, or how when he throws an egg he looks angry/determined. And when he does his happy dance taunt from Brawl he should have "happy eyes".

Oh, I was going for movie ratings.

For video games, they dropped the KA rating for E10+ or something, right?

I think K-A was replaced with E, and E-10+ was newly introduced about a decade ago, something like that.

It's probably just because ratings and how they work changed over the years.

It's ironic that a T for Teen game won't allow Hell in it, but an E for Everyone one does. But, then you realize that opinions of what is acceptable changed over the years, so it makes sense. It's still ironic, but it's funny in a way too.

Kids-to-Adults was dropped pretty early, to be replaced with E. E10+ came much later; it is the most recent ESRB game rating.

I bet if it used it as like "going to Hell", it wouldn't have been censored. Instead, it was used as a swear. XD

Super Smash Bros 1 was rated E, but Melee and Brawl were T.

What's that...changing views of violence? Updated graphics making it look more painful?

Maybe it was the female fighting wire frame. [lol]

Just looked it up. K-A was dropped in 1998 and replaced with E then. And E10+ was intro'd in late 2004, according to Wikipedia.

Melee was farrrr less cartoony than the others, to be fair. And yeah, violent and fighting games have gotten higher ratings for a while now.

I think Shadow The Hedgehog was the first game to get E10+? If not creating the rating?

I think so. I looked at Shadow the Hedgehog and thought, "It's Shadow! In his own game! With guns! But he's a Sonic character...well I guess he broke the rating system."

> Shadow the Hedgehog had guns that shot bullets. Rated E10+

> Brawl rated T for Teen, not allowed guns.

I'm actually a bit shocked it didn't get T rating, since all the harsh language (where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?), wanton killing and violence (with several missions basically being "mass murder"), the oppressively dark mood of the game...

Brawl had plenty of guns. The ray guns, the Lylat guys' blasters, and Snake's bazookas...

Pic of the day. Don't miss your chance, Zelda—King Dedede is knocked out.

Another filler pic. I mean, one of Dedede's pics on his page already shows off his dazed expression. Show us HD Waddle Dee Throw, Sakurai.

[up][up]They're royalty. tongue

I hope SSB 4 returns to the original theme with a neat remix

I'm pretty sure the theme will be the one in the E3 trailer.

Anyway, I wonder what the cutscenes we are getting will be like.

Nowhere as good as this:

So many missed opportunities. Could you imagine SSE-style cutscenes with characters like Wii Fit Trainer and Villager?
