Yeah, it always seemed to me like any given third-party series would only have one playable rep and if any other characters from the series showed up they'd be relegated to assist trophies or background appearances.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSRegarding Raiden; apart from Ghost Babel (sort of), he's never been on a Nintendo console, unlike the Cobra unit and FOXHOUND. Members of the latter may also be appearing in MGSV, so including one as an assist trophy could also function as an early cameo similar to those in the Shadow Moses stage from Brawl.
Speaking of which, do you think it's likely that the handheld and console versions will have different assist trophies, considering that we haven't actually seen any on the 3DS version yet?
...All we've heard is that stages and trophies will be game-exclusive. Nothing has been said about Assist Trophies yet (plus Wario Ware is a primarily handheld series), so I'd assume they're identical between versions

Or a Nintencat could act like a Power-Up Letdown; instead of blocking the screen, it just sits there until its timer runs out and it vanishes.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyBecause replacing the only Lord besides Marth to be the star of more than one game with a one-shot lord is dumb. Honestly, that's the worst kind of advertising.
I'm really surprised that no-one here is raising eyebrows at the Male and Female Wii Fit Trainers having completely different animations for one move where they don't even attack with the same body part. I think that's the thing most obvious to tell it's fake
Most recent =/= Most Important
Nope. Hate it for it's stagnant Star Fox roster, Ganondorf still having some of his clone moves, Diddy being forced into a tag-team character, etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMOut of the two, Samurai Warriors, because Captain Rainbow made him look hideous. But I'd rather a new design or one faithful to his original.
I had an idea for a Ninja Log move too, but isn't Takamaru a Samurai?
Nah, Boring.
I guess L.O.S stands for Loss of Sight?

Fine I won't use that word for now. But the point about replacing a guy who's been in more games with a one-shot still stands.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI personally think that "some" is better than "all".
Obviously, "none" would be the ideal situation, and I would totally love it if they scrapped what he has and made an entirely new set of moves and properties, but I'll take "some" if that's my only option. Much as I'd like him to have no Falcon-inspired moves, I have to keep a realistic outlook on it. And Sakurai is probably more likely to alter Ganondorf than remake him from the ground up.
Personally, I wouldn't exactly want him to have a switch-to-sword special, unless it's dual-wielding, which would significantly change his fighting style. A lot of his current moves could be made sword attacks wihout really changing their properties or even hitboxes much. Like his forward smash, or up tilt. At this point, I'm kind of okay with him still having some punches and kicks and such. Ganondorf's enough of a brutally strong person that it's believable, and his moves, while still Falcon-inspired, gained some of his personality in Brawl, and I can imagine the drift would continue into this game.
Currently, my thoughts for changes to his specials are like this.
B: Black Hole. tapping it fires a single electric orb. Letting it charge builds up an sphere that shatters into a bunch of dark snakey projectiles that home.
Down B: Warlock Punch. On the ground, it's as it is in Brawl. In the air, however, it becomes a falling attack that sends out a shockwave. It's his close-up attack from Ocarina.
Side B: Flame Choke.
Up B: Fell Flight. A flight mode like Pit's, because Pit seems to be losing that aspect of his recovery.
Something of a compromise, but it still makes all his attacks something he either has been known to do, or something he totally would do.

I have a message from another time...Ganondorf should have never been a clone in the first place.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMThis.
Him getting a new show and a game based off of it screams Were Still Relevant Dammit.
All of which have been covered by multiple characters, multiple times.

Snake should return just so I can re-enact that.

I would love to see FOXHOUND and maybe some of the Cobra unit as assist trophies
Oh really when?
