I'm not saying that I know how this stuff works, but I assume that making content for 3DS is less time-consuming than making for the Wii U. Why we are to assume that a hypotetical single version would have had as much content as these two versions combined will end up having?
Anyway; silly not-serious-at-all question: If there was one character completely unafiliated with Nintendo in Smash, which one would you want it to be? I'd say either the Scout or Heavy from Team Fortress 2, even if just for the chance to hear this
in the victory screen.
PS:Why the hell did the creator of Brawl in the Family had to be making a story arc and then take a vacation before making a comic for Rosalina and Zelda?
I would say Artix Von Krieger, because who else fights an entire undead army with nothing but an Axe and a Dog?

That really bugged me. He made a comic about Luigi's, Peach's, Toon Link's, Sonic's, Marth's reveals and although he didn't do Olimar's he did do a Pikmin 3 strip for that day, yet instead of doing one for Rosalina he does some Wonderful Life plot thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMWell, yeah. It was Christmas.
I'm sure Mr. Matthew will pick up with something Rosalina or Zelda related when he starts back up on the 20th.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaLet's say both versions can hold hold 30 stages (random number). If they each have the same stages, then there's less reason to buy both versions. They have the same amount of content, and the experience is more identical. If there are different stages, that gives more reason to buy both versions. They have the same amount of content, and the experience differs even more. Seems reasonable.
Besides, the Wii U will likely have more stages. Not definitely, but likely.
That's basically the situation with Monster Hunter Tri U. Nearly he exact same content on both versions.
I still got both versions. The draw of a handheld experience was inexorable (plus the 3DS was the only system I had at release day), and I eventually snagged the Wii U version as well, because I love being able to play it online.

I have a message from another time...Like I said before, the majority of people getting the 3DS version want it because either they don't have a Wii U or because they want portable Smash.

Nothing at all. I'm just saying the reasoning as to why people saying exclusive stages as an "incentive" to buy the 3DS version clearly underestimate why people want that version in the first place.
Does it have to be a video-game character?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMWell now I either have to miss out on stages or pay $140 to get both.
I'm so glad there wasn't a DS version of Brawl.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMHaving the same stages would look like laziness, whether it was or not.
It'll never happen, but I'd like Dimentio to be playable. Wonderful villain with plenty of potential with his magic.

It can be any character from anywhere; that's what I meant by completely unafiliated. You kids can bring up your spidermen and your super sayians and your talking horses if you like.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

Compressed or uncompressed?
Either way, maybe they're putting 25 GB worth of content on the disc (which, of course, would likely make the load times even worse than Brawl's, but hey
) and
thank you!) on the cart. There's no way we can know until the games are released and someone opens those suckers up and analyzes their contents.
