Ditto the Wii mote. I have two friends who can use the thing for Super Smash Bros (one of them mains Bowser, of all characters) I gave up trying.
I suppose I will just have to manage, now that I kind of have too if I want to play this upcoming Smash bros, or I suppose I could just complain about some element of it I do not like and act as if that is the reason I never play it.
Buldogue's lawyerNah, I'm probably getting it too, but the Wii U version is probably the one people are going to use when it comes to real Serious Business matches.
Speaking of, turns out I might be able to make it to Apex this year...I just won't be able to participate in any tournaments outside of the side ones. I'll probably be there as a spectator and playing over at the Skullgirls tournament.

I don't know if the 3DS controls would be better. I plan to get an XL or 2DS first. I have a very difficult time working with the D-Pad and Control Nub(I don't call it a stick because it's too small, but eh) placement. It gives me hand craps.
Anyway, I do plan to get both. I don't play my Wii U much, but I don't have any games I like so far, so...

The game is nearing completion and they want to release it as soon as possible.

That's the exception, not the rule.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI am a little resentful though. As much as I have ragged on Sakurai I get the feeling his injuries would not be as bad if Nintendo had not insisted on him making a version for the Wii U, and now because of those injuries this will probably be the last game he ever makes.
In fact, I bet the only reason we are not collectively calling for Nintendo's death is just because they look better by comparison (to EA).
