He is. Its just that its the fancy evil title/epithet I was talking about
Basically he is Earth Dragon called Shadow Dragon because he is so eeeevil and he returns back in sequel through dark ritual that changed him so that his class is actually "Dark/shadow dragon".

Isaac could perhaps be an axe-wielding character.

Welcome to th:|Well, to be fair, Smash had a red haired swordsman too. Point still stands though.
Star Fox is about mainly flight combat. It's hard to represent that in a series that focuses on on-foot melee combat. Some things you simply can't represent in that series. There's a lot more to Fire Emblem that can be represented that hasn't been.
The theme for Fire Emblem is mainly medieval-themed strategy. So far they've only had the medieval thing going for it.

Yes. Fire Emblem has always had the Weapon Triangle thing going as a constant theme. It just never gets shown in Smash because they always go for the main heroes, and of course, Heroes Prefer Swords.
When a Lord shows up that doesn't use a sword, that immediately presents some potential to show that theme. To ignore that is frankly a bit stupid.

Personally, I don't want them to add a character if he's just going to be the same.
And in addition to various melee weapons, there are classes who cast spells classes who ride horses, classes who ride dragons, classes who are dragons... There's more than could be reasonably represented, but a little more variety would be nice.
I have a message from another time...Thinking even more about Nintendo Land, I wonder if we'll be seeing Monita as an Assist Trophy (also, the ? Blocks could be a nice thing replace Assist Trophies in general). She could be like Resetti, but instead of yelling about stuff she would give an obstructive and slightly sarcastic history/description of something onscreen.
A Monita assist trophy should definitely either do the Resetti-like thing, or turn your enemies into weaker, fake versions of themselves made of string and plush.
Personally I think Robin has enough "default" stuff to work, but I see where you're coming from.

"We're home, Chewie."

Well, if he's not a shadow dragon in Shadow Dragon, then he's not the titular Shadow Dragon, as I thought.
