Well, a lot of FE lords are one-shot, due to the way the series is set up. Only a few games have direct sequels.
I'd personally go with Ike and Robin, to have a more "heavy" sword wielder, and a magic wielder. Ideally, there'd be room for Hector as well, but that's not gonna happen.
I have a message from another time...B-moves don't define a clone. The Specials+Final Smash are spoofs of Fox's, sure, but the throws, aerials, smashes, tilts? All different.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaWolf is similar to Fox and clearly based on him, but I personally don't think of him as a clone. His B moves are all slightly different, and his A moves are completely different. He plays distinctly enough that I feel calling him a clone is inaccurate.
Sheik'd.

"We're home, Chewie."He has 5 similar moves and 18 incomparable ones. He's even less of a clone than Lucas.
Hm... I'd like to retract a previous statement. At the risk of driving Hector fans back to the corner of woe, my ideal 4-man Fire Emblem representation is actually Marth, Ike, Tiki, and Robin.

I have a message from another time...His jab combo is a three-step combo that moves him forward and finishes with a bit of launching power. Fox and Falco's are rapid-fire attacks with no endpoint.
Wolf's dash attack strikes above him and launches the enemy up. Fox and Falco strike only forward and launch that way.
Wolf's down smash strikes each side of him in turn, and the first hit will knock targets into the second. Fox and Falco do a single hit that strikes both sides simultaneously.
Wolf's neutral air is a spin that hits all sides around him. Fox and Falco focus on one spot, not hitting above or behind.
I could go on.
I have a message from another time...Kind of funny how Sakurai kept him out of Melee for the purpose of not designating him as a clone, yet the debate over whether or not he is one is a consistently open topic more than an entire installment later.
Thing about Robin is that hes/shes isn't a set character since hes/she is customizable and having him/her have hood all the time doesn't sound like a thing they would do :P
Really, I don't think they should do magic lord just because. But if they would, they should rather use Celica(sp?) since she isn't customizable.
I didn't know that the Wii Fit Trainer was a customizable character with a large number of potential appearances.
Yeah, Villager would have been a better retort.
(For the record, I don't think that Robin would work either, but eh)
