No. It's something equally unimportant. If something as simple as misunderstanding is ego damaging, then I really don't know what to say.
There is no pic of the day. It's not coming back til Jan 6.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMAnyway, in the absence of a pic of the day...I dunno, anyone have any opinions on the original Super Smash Bros? I never really ever played, maybe just three times in my life (once on an emulator on a friend's laptop, and twice with a couple of roommates who owned it), so I can't really fairly judge it. I found it kinda difficult to adjust to, but, then, I hadn't really played an N64 game in forever.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here. It's an amazing game full of tons of fun, hilarious items, excellent courses(arguably Congo Jungle's a bit boring, maybe Peach's Castle isn't that great too), very fun single player and multi player, and a great variety of stuff to do.
Yes, I realize the irony when Melee/Brawl are so much bigger, but this game isn't that small. Before Event Matches existed, people made their own scenarios. And it's soooooo much fun.
Shadow?apathy on Tv tropes again
Smash 64 is still fun. I liked it. But there's some things that make it harder to not go back to Brawl. You can't throw down or up. Can't attack after grabbing. Can't dodge/air dodge. Only has 9 stages (Final Destination, Battlefield and Meta Crystal should have totally been unlockable).
It's also the reason why Jigglypuff is still in this game, so eh...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMControl? Pretty well. Although it's much slower.
It's very low mechanic-wise, but still requires quite a bit of skill to win.
MM outlined the downsides of the less mechanics quite well. Throws are also pretty overpowered, but Yoshi has extreme control over his Eggs and is at his best in this game. The only downside to him is that he doesn't have an Air Dodge and his Up B doesn't gain height. His recovery suffers, but his moves are almost entirely superior compared to the new games.
Link is still better in Melee. Samus is somewhat better in Melee, although her Charge Shot is excellent here. Fox is practically what Falco is in Melee to a degree. His Laser is the same, but using his Reflector in the air disappears when he hits the ground. A lot of characters have really unique changes from Melee/Brawl. Nerfs or otherwise. I might be able to find a list. I definitely recommend it. Honestly, all 3 games are great.

FD freezes without Master Hand. The rest, sure. Since they'd work. They also could've made Race to the Finish available, but you wouldn't be able to go to the exit. You'd just keep playing till someone wins. No Items, though. All characters can easily go anywhere, of the playable 12, I mean.

Shadow?Only because they didn't intend it to be played outside of Classic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMIn that entire ZSS discussion, how did anybody fail to mention Metroid: Zero Mission?
In Metroid: Zero Mission, during the climax, Samus loses her suit after crashing back on Zebes during her escape, where she acquires her current power suit. That means you'll actually have to play as Samus without her suit throughout this section of the game.
On the subject of Donkey Kong not having a notable alt, may I remind you of Donkey Kong Jr.? He originally was supposed to have a trophy in Brawl (its data is still present, although it might also be that it might have just been an imported test from Melee) and was not only a playable character in Donkey Kong Jr. but also in the very first Super Mario Kart and Mario Tennis.

Signatures are for lamers.
It was mentioned, by Indirect Active Transport in this post
, who brought up ZSS in the first place.
Man, I haven't played Smash 64 in ages. I don't know if I could go back (and I'd rather buy it again than emulate it).
"It helps that you can actually play as Zero Suit Samus in a Metroid game."
I didn't say the game's name, but I pretty much alluded to it.
His build isn't as similar as Funky Kong's. You know, hitboxes and all.

There's like only two Metroid games where you play as Zero Suit Samus, and only one of them came before Brawl. It's not that hard to figure it out.
Also, seriously, what else could Male Wii Fit Trainer possibly be? He's not a character, and his pose in that screenshot matched Wii Fit Trainer's.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMAssist Trophy.
Sakurai mentioned nothing about the "costume", despite showing it on Halloween, only commenting about the stage.
I think it's an alt costume too, but I'd like confirmation first. Wii Fit Trainer's actual page never shows it either. Which is odd, really. Sakurai just loves being vague.
Shadow?![]()
Watch as Sakurai goes out and announces it as an alt.
Well that's where she came from.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMOkay, let me put it this way.
Say there is this imaginative game, it really doesn't exist (yet). Now, the series consists of several games. You know absolutely nothing about the game series and how may games there are, let alone the characters in it.
Now what if I told you, "Atlus Kane is playable in that one game in the series." Wouldn't you think of me as a dick for not pointing out the game is "Clint Punchkick: A Gift for Chse"?
Especially since Atlus Kane would appear in another game series called "Order of Zaendal" as an NPC.

Signatures are for lamers. No, I wouldn't "think of you as a d***". I'd say something like "Which game is he in?" without feeling something mean towards you.
Also the whole point was you said no-one brought up Zero Mission as to why Zero Suit Samus should stay playable. I at least said she was playable in a Metroid game. That's really all that matters.

Agreed. It's not even that useful.
And modify either her Up or Side Special. I forget which one it is, but one of the them is very similar to her Up or Side Smash.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMJust like FLUDD.
Wait...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMDecently? It pushes opponents like a foot back.
It's crap.

The difference is, this is something personal to my ego, whereas that stuff? It's a damn video game that does not matter in the grand scheme of things.
Either way, this is highly off-topic, so let's just shut up about it. What's the pic of the day?
EDIT: Anyone else getting that there are no posts on Sakurai's Miiverse? https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/SakuraiMasahiroA
EDIT 2: Weird, it's working now. I forgot there was no pic of the day the rest of the week,
