It's clearly an original stage.

Actually, it's not even a stage. The size of it (as seen in the E3 trailer) clearly indicates an Adventure Mode or something similar.

It could be a Tropical Freeze stage, but I don't know enough about that game to say so with any amount of certainty.

If there's any Kirby stage I want, it's the Fountain of Dreams stage from Melee. It was gorgeous then, but imagine how even more gorgeous it'd look in 1080p!

Hmm... those ruins really feel like the ought to be from something, but then again a lot of the original stages in Subspace Emmisary felt like that too...

It could be a Tropical Freeze stage

Unless they're planning a 3DS port, then no.

They very well could be.

Now... that big wheel thing? That certainly feels like it belongs in Sonic Lost World. But... not looking like that, and not in a fores.

Original stage. So confident that I'm not even gonna say "Calling it now".

Now anyway, if there was a Tropical Freeze stage, it'd better be Frozen DK Island.

Either way, I still want a Fountain of Dreams stage, as per above.

Kirby apparently having several copy abilities simultaneously

IDK, is it explicitly canon that Kirby can only copy one ability at a time? Or is that just a limitation for gameplay purposes?

[up][up]Well in Amazing Mirror there's Smash Kirby, but it's still technically one ability.

There's Kirby 64, where you can fuse two abilities into one.

And Smash Kirby is explicitly inspired by...well, Smash Kirby, and it's never showed up since (sadly), so I'm not certain it counts.

[up]True, but that's also unique to that game.

I'd love to see that return, even if some of the ideas they had for fusion powers were kind of... broken.

Eh, I don't quite consider a Compilation Re-release to count, even if it does have new content like that. That being said, now I feel even worse for still not having obtained that game yet.

Actually, mixing abilities is in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby 64, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and Kirby Air Ride.

That's a different kind of mixing abilities. It just gives you a random one.

64 let you literally combine two. Combining Fire and Stone let you become a volcano, combining Spark and Sword gave you a can't-believe-it's-not-a-lightsabre, ect.

Kirby Squeak Squad featured a much simpler form in that you could combine Sword and Bomb with Ice, Fire, or Spark, for elemental swords or bombs, but that was it.

On the bright side, he could be setting us up for a big reveal on the sixth! Which is only ten days away anyway!

Maybe. I would expect something on the 11th though, since that's when Kirby Triple Deluxe comes out.

And maybe (hopefully) on the 30th the Ice Climbers will be revealed, since their game came out then. I guess a Pokemon reveal is another possibility, if they ever manage to open Poke Bank.
