Oh, so they're using the same ouit again, which means S- wait What?
◊ What the heck is this? Clever timing with an Assist Trophy?
Some of those picture are hilarious. Especially this one.
◊ One would think Rosalina was about to turn her into a frog or something, or maybe just gave her a zap someplace she shouldn't given where the trail leads...
Looks like Zelda's yet another one who was blessed by the improved art/rendering styles in this game. Her facial expressions and armor look phenomenal.

Phantom Zelda as something!? ALL OF MY YES! I always had idea that if Toon Link sort of combined stuff from W Ind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, Phantom Zelda would be his Final Smash.

Only sometimes postsI like Zelda's design here, but there seems to be a lot of contrast in her coloring, more so than in any other portrayal of her I've seen, almost to the point where she looks like a goth girl in a cartoon
("Bitch, get away from my man!"
◊) I am so sorry for that.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.YES! I knew it!
At first I was kinda worried they'd'd postpone her reveal considering it's only been a week since Rosalina's reveal but nope.
Man, they're showing the pic of the days earlier aren't they?

That's another thing I'm glad about. I wanted it to look like mostly TP Zelda as I felt the three main Zelda characters shouldn't have conflicting artstyles, and I felt SS Zelda would look weird.
I know it's the same overall costume as in Brawl and Melee, but based off of the coloring alone it might not be off to say this Zelda could be an older version of Spirit Tracks' Zelda.
Edit: Checking it again, I'm totally wrong about the coloring. But this Zelda being ST's Zelda all grown up is still my headcanon now.

So Ivysaur is smaller and more agile than Torterra? Why did this need to be pointed out? Was Torterra to be doing something other than trudging along with the grim inevitability of a glacier? Ivysaur has vines to manipulate objects? Torterra could achieve roughly the same with wooden roots and or branches.
Metroid Prime allegedly not fitting is an even stranger notion. Not only does it actually have claws to grab things with, it would not even need them. It can integrate weapons and armour into its carapace, which gives it a potential new way to standout from the rest of the roster off the bat in terms of how it would use items. Then look at the loads if moves it has, the numerous alternate forms and the fact its name is on the highest selling, most critically acclaimed titles in its franchise history. The only problems I can conceive are how spoileriffic it would all be but by the time Smash 4 is out Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will be ten years old.
But to humor Magcargo Man's claims of trolling, the Robotic Operating Buddy is already on the Smash Bros Roster and it does not even have legs. Before Brawl I would look for the absence of three things in a "troll post". 1: ownership by Nintendo 2: conceivable ability to jump 3: a way to grab things. R.O.B. proved a character did not even need #2, which Torterra and Metroid Prime have more of by virtue of having legs. Maybe if you cannot see how a character could work at this stage it is your lack to knowledge or imagination rather than strangers on the internet trying to get an angry reaction out of you.
That Metroid Prime happened to star ub successful games or that a starter team with Torterra in it could bump off Charizard to make room for Ridley are really just bonuses. First and foremost they would both be interesting to see and play with. Metroid Prime's appearance readily clashes with everyone else (except Samus) and nobody would fight remotely like it. Reminders of just how different Metroid is from Legend Of Zelda, Pokemon or Mega Man, which Ridley does not so readily give, are always nice to see in a Crossover.
Squirtle-Ivysaur-Charizard showed "cute small Pokemon become scary large Pokemon" but Torterra-Infernape-Empoleon would be showing the diversity of Pokemon on the same evolutionary level, the Sinnoh trio having the most immediately apparent contrasts among starters, as well as Infernape and Torterra contrasting the monkey and turtle they would be sharing the roster with (Diddy Kong and Bowser would also be a fragile speedster and mighty glacier but by character design alone would still end up playing much differently).
Buldogue's lawyerAlso, I correctly predicted the background colour for her page. I predicted it'd be a light purple. Actually, I'm only half-right as I specifically thought it would be more of a Lavander Purple, but it's still a lighter shade.
Is it sad that I actually cared enough about the background colours to guess them?
Y'know, I think Link and Zelda are the only characters in this game who could count as full-on Composite Characters. Unless Megaman has some characteristics that are actually from some of his other versions, which I doubt.
The Zelda timeline is a "wonderful" thing.

Sakurai even lampshaded it in the Miiverse post.

So, Assist Trophy or new move?
